About the adventure

The Last Harvest of Gravenheim **System:** DnD 2024 **Length:** 15–20 Sessions **Themes:** Siege Warfare, Survival Horror, Religious Conflict, Undead, Starvation, Moral Choices The harvest is in, but winter comes early this year. The city of Gravenheimbstands as the last bastion guarding the river crossings into the heart of Vaterland. When enemy armies descend upon the city shortly after the final harvest, the gates are shut and the people prepare for a long siege. Inside the walls are thousands of frightened citizens, dwindling food stores, rival faiths, desperate nobles, and soldiers willing to kill for a crust of bread. Outside the walls waits an army. Inside waits something far worse. As members of a newly formed Free Company, the players will decide the fate of Gravenheim. They will command defenses, fight through plague-ridden streets, uncover conspiracies, venture beyond the walls into enemy territory, and survive the slow death of a city under siege. # ACT I — THE CLOSING OF THE GATES # ACT II — THE DEAD BELOW # ACT III — HUNTERS IN THE DARK # ACT IV — BEYOND THE WALLS # ACT V — THE FALL OF GRAVENHEIM We will progress in level at every act

About me

## About Nylo Welcome to my table! I run immersive, lighthearted adventures with a good balance of roleplay, exploration and exciting combat. My games include plenty of humour, but I also enjoy creating serious moments, tension and meaningful choices. Player decisions matter in my campaigns. I set the scene, introduce the world and its challenges, and then let the players decide where the story goes. I enjoy collaborative storytelling and regularly use character backgrounds, goals and ideas to shape future sessions. I am especially comfortable introducing new players to tabletop roleplaying games. I explain the rules patiently, help with character creation and make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate. My games are welcoming to players of all experience levels and backgrounds. Respect, cooperation and communication are important at my table. Games are normally played using Roll20, with voice communication through Discord. Players receive access to the books and campaign material needed for the game through my Roll20 compendium. Depending on the campaign, I may allow character options from official Wizards of the Coast books and selected third-party material such as Kobold Press. Available options will always be explained before character creation. Some campaigns may include mature themes such as violence, horror, death or cruelty. Content warnings and safety expectations will be clearly explained before play, and player boundaries will always be respected. ## How I Run Games My games usually contain an approximately equal balance of roleplay and combat, although this may change depending on the players and the campaign. You can expect: * Prepared maps, tokens, handouts and visual material. * Music and background ambience when appropriate. * Meaningful player choices with real consequences. * A mixture of humour, tension, mystery and action. * Encounters that encourage creativity rather than only direct combat. * Help with rules and character abilities. * Opportunities for every player to contribute. * Character backgrounds incorporated into the story. * A welcoming environment for beginners. I enjoy the Rule of Cool and reward creative ideas. I normally follow the written rules, but I am willing to make quick rulings when necessary so the game continues moving. I am not interested in arguing over every minor rule. When something is unclear, I make a fair ruling during the session and check the exact rule afterward if needed. ## My GM Style My style is friendly, flexible and player-focused. I enjoy dramatic stories, strange encounters, memorable villains and moments that make the entire table laugh. Characters are encouraged to have goals, flaws and connections to the world. I want players to feel that their imagination and decisions genuinely influence the campaign. Failure does not always mean that nothing happens. Failed rolls may create complications, difficult choices or unexpected changes to the story. ## Character Creation I help players create characters before the first session. This can be done through Discord or during a short one-to-one character-creation session. Character options depend on the campaign. I will clearly explain which books, classes, species, feats and other material are available. Players do not need to understand every rule before joining. New and returning players are welcome. ## Rules Are... A framework for creating an enjoyable and fair game. I generally use the rules as written, but I also allow creative solutions and the Rule of Cool when they improve the story without taking enjoyment away from other players. When a rule is unclear, I make a quick and fair decision so we can continue playing rather than stopping the session for a long rules discussion. ## My Favourite Shows and Movies Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and The Office. ## When I Am Not Running Games... I work as an educator and enjoy creating games, stories and roleplaying material. I like collaborative worldbuilding and finding ways to involve players in the future direction of a campaign. Your imagination, character choices and ideas help drive the story forward.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created before the first session through Discord. All official content is allowed, we use the 2024 rule system. Point buy or standard array, 1 uncommon item and all the common that fits your character. you can use either my books on roll20 or your own on dnd beyond, just have the beyond20 extension so we can see your rolls and send me a link to your characters.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

we start at session 1 so all characters should be ready and handed in. If you need help creating a character we will do it in discord before session 1. Have mic and stable internet, join the discord and the game on roll20. If you never played on roll20 we will go through it in session 1.

What nylo brings to the table

What I Provide My goal is to create a grim, immersive, and character-driven experience where the world feels alive and reacts to your choices. Character sheets prepared and maintained in roll20. Maps, portraits, journals, and campaign information available through the platform. Visual aids and artwork to help bring the setting to life. What to Expect This is not a heroic fantasy campaign. You are not chosen heroes destined to save the world. You are mercenaries, refugees, zealots, criminals, and survivors trapped inside a city under siege. Food runs out. People panic. The dead refuse to stay buried.
