About the adventure
This campaign is meant for those who would like to enjoy a healthy balance between roleplay and combat. The theme can get grim and dark, with a pinch of gore and horror. Not every fight is meant to be solved with blade and arcana, but sometimes things can get easier if you use your head. Beginners are welcome to join! The world remembers. Every victory, failure, and sacrifice will echo through Toxidrom long after your story is told. Shape the fate of a land divided by monsters, ambition, and war. Your choices will decide what kind of future remains. Heroes are not born - they are forged by their choices. What legacy will you leave behind in Toxidrom? Every decision matters. The world will change around you, for better or worse, as your story unfolds.

About me
Well hello there, adventurers! I’ve been GMing since 2023. I started my first homebrew D&D campaign back then, and since then I’ve run two other campaigns in parallel, one of them being a Daggerheart story. During this time, I’ve run more than 100 sessions. From time to time, I also run one-shots for beginners who often end up joining future campaigns afterward. Still, I personally enjoy long-running stories the most, the kind where the characters truly shape and drive the world around them. My preferred style is a sandbox approach, where players have the freedom to explore, experiment, and influence the setting in meaningful ways. I also try to keep a balanced mix of storytelling, roleplay, and combat. If you’re looking for a game where your choices matter and your character has real impact on the story, you’re in the right place. Let’s build something awesome together!

Creating your character
Players will be able to create their own characters through Foundry VTT. Which I will provide the link for in private.

Preparing for the session
Please have discord prepared, where we will be able to talk about details. We will be using Foundry VTT which I self host
What Toxi, Keeper of Lore brings to the table
I like to give some NPCs unique voices, and I enjoy preparing ambient music for battles or simply for drinking in a tavern. Battles can get intense at times, and in some cases, a blade or a fireball might not be the best solution for dealing with an enemy. I will let the party bend some rules if it is not too far-fetched. I may ask for an ability check to re-flavor a spell or alter its mechanics slightly to better fit the scene. If there is a rule that we are not 100% sure about, we will read it above the table and come to a common understanding as a group. Everybody should have their own fun, so please let others have their spotlight moments, just as they will let you have yours. I like to keep a healthy balance between roleplay and action, so if you join the table, please expect to interact with others so everyone can see how interesting your character really is. And if they aren't, that's completely fine too, some characters are intentionally simple. Let's just have fun.
Homebrew rules
We can re-flavor spells depending on how much it should be changed with an ability roll.

How Toxi, Keeper of Lore creates a safe table
I will provide a link to a document which goes through about table rules and what the content of my world holds. It also contains what I expect as behavior at the table.
