About the adventure

In this place, the rules of time and space have no meaning, And what constitutes life and death have different leanings. While gratitude is dangerous to express, Nothing is more deadly than disrespect. Though do be assured when it comes to deals Both shall partake at least somewhat in the meal. Seek all that what you will Be careful what gives your fill. Welcome to the birthplace of fey, May you find enjoyment in your stay. ~~~ Feybound is a third party module that takes place in the region of Aerdale and the Feywild. Aerdale is known for being a place where natural portals to the fey have a high tendency to form, resulting in a number of fey creatures appearing in the region. With the regular crossover, balance was maintained with the fey closest to those portals more inclined to partake in mischief than malice. However, an Archfey has recently decided to lay claim to more territory for themselves, both in the Feywild and the Material Plane. Your characters may be those who live in the region or perhaps are of the Feywild themselves, but have other reasons to go against the new Winter Court known as Vex-Mortem. This adventure involves exploring the Feywild and dealing with the denizens within and ultimately bring balance to the two realms again, even if character motivation may not be so lofty. There will be quite a lot of weirdness and chaos because the place of the fey is going to be very different than what one is used to on the Material Plane. Not to mention the danger of who you might end up making deals with.

About me

Dungeon and Dragons and TTRPGs have been a staple of my life since I was in the single digits. I've had experience in all sorts of systems, from good old DnD to Shadow Run to Dread. If its a game system, chances are I've played it at least once, but of course I have the systems I'm most familiar with. Fantasy, sci fi, something more realistic, and even the occasional horror, I hope to run a variety of games for people. I love creativity and I love the great stories that come out of several people's ideas mixing together. Rules and modules are guidelines, but what matters is everyone is having fun. While I prefer games that are more roleplay heavy, combats and puzzles are certainly fun as well.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen during session zero and over Discord outside of game time for people who join later. Everyone will start at level one and we will be rolling for stats, three sets and choose what set best fits. Any and all official books will be allowed, and any third party content or homebrew will be allowed if they pass my review. We will be using roll20 since that is where you have access to my books. This game is based on the third party Feybound book and I will give you access to the pages associated with character creation if you're interested in trying those races and subclasses.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord and roll20 account. Make sure you join the Discord as soon as possible. You should have a mic, though no webcam necessary. If you want to see DNDBeyond, have the Beyond20 extension.

What Sabre G brings to the table

I'm a DM who focuses more on roleplay. I like letting players explore their characters in different ways and the more backstory you give me, the more I try to incorporate it. My improv skills are also pretty good. Rules as Written is a guideline to help give some rails, but Rule of Cool will win out nine times out of ten. I want everyone to feel invested in their character and the world they're in. What matters most is people are having fun. I'm not a super crunchy DM when it comes to combat, but I like to keep them interesting and I often reward creativity. If you can find a way to get fifty gunpowder barrels in the boss's bedroom and the dice favor you, then that can happen. For the technical side, I have maps and ambient music. Sorry to say, but I've only got a few voices, but I do my best.

Homebrew rules

I do have a few homebrew rules. I use drinking a potion is a bonus action, allow the use of a bonus action in the action space, flanking gives advantage unless the creature has blindsight, and a few class specific that I keep listed on my Discord. I have an option for character death to still survive called triage. Should your character fail their death saves, instead of death, you can choose to take a semi-permanent disadvantage that takes at least a sidequest to fix. It will not be your character's main mechanical thing, we aren't taking a ranger's eyes. There is also a rule for spellcasters where if they cast three leveled spells in a row to zero effect (no damage, no healing, no status effect), they gain back a spell slot of the average level. All rules are optional for players to use.
