About the adventure
A wicked sorceress has risen from the dead! Seeking vengeance on those who wronged her in life, she will bring death and ruin to their descendants. - ๐ฐ Explore her ruined fortress - ๐ Investigate her connection to a forgotten goddess who stood against Death - โ๏ธ Slay those who wish to continue her dark work - ๐ Destroy her, once and for all Abomination Vaults is a beginner friendly adventure that revolves around a single massive dungeon. Each floor is different, and right as you become accustomed to the dungeon's rhythm it changes drastically. There is a town full of NPCs you can build relationships with and seek advice from between dungeon delves, and opportunities to explore your connections between your fellow party members in the dungeon itself.

About me
I was first introduced to D&D 3rd Edition as a child and never stopped playing games. As someone who also enjoys board games and video games, I've found that different TTRPGs scratch different itches. My favorite games right now are Pathfinder 2e and basically anything Powered by the Apocalypse - games that support radically different play styles.

Creating your character
I am available to guide you through character creation before the start of the first session so that you can make the most of the free intro. There will be space in the Discord for players to coordinate with each other. Characters start at level 1. We will be using Gradual Ability Boost, Free Archetype, and the Stamina rules. Stamina reduces the importance of out-of-combat healing so nobody feels obligated to play a "healer" or take the Medic archetype. Dungeon Hallways can get narrow, so size Large characters are discouraged.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Join the Discord as soon as you can! This will ensure we have characters ready for the First Session (and go through Session Zero stuff) so your free session can be spent playing the game instead of "preparing to play the game" If you have any questions before registering, please feel free to send me a message through Start Playing. There you can ask me questions, communicate with your fellow players and be provided a link to the Foundry VTT server.
What Scott brings to the table
I'm a big Rules as Written guy, but I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong - in fact, rapid rules corrections are rewarded with Hero Points. I have practical experience with this particular module and it's VTT implementation, not just Pathfinder as a whole. The combat is intense, and potentially lethal, but the monsters are played true to their nature. Zombies will try to chomp the closest living creature, Animals will attempt to flee when driven below a certain threshold, Ghosts won't be immediately hostile if they weren't violent in life, Humanoids will try to coordinate tactics out loud. NPC attitudes and motivations will stay consistent.... even if the voices don't.
Homebrew rules
Stamina variant. No Instant Death.

How Scott creates a safe table
There will be a Lines and Veils document, before the session the full content warning for the module will be gone through. You can type or say X, N, & O in whatever way feels safest and most convenient for you.
