About the adventure

In Secrets of Grayce, a group of young adventurers, green behind the ears, gets roped into protecting their idyllic town from various dangers that suddenly pop up all around them and find themselves tasked with finding the cause behind all of it, potentially setting them onto the path of adventure for the rest of their lives! We will begin with the new beginner box adventure "The Temple of the Unlit Star" after which multiple different paths will open up, leaving the party to decide which leads to follow and what dangers to investigate and stop with some more combat-, some more puzzle-, and some more roleplay-heavy. This campaign is beginner friendly and there will be a free session 0 to create characters and be introduced to the system if needed. Of course more veteran players are also more than welcome! The game will be limited to about 12 sessions and the plan is to reach level 5. While this adventure is prewritten, the sandbox nature of it will allow for me to customize it to the group and include each characters story to tell their path of becoming adventurers! This short campaign is also a great way to get to know me as a gm and determine if you'll want to continue with further full length campaigns.

About me

Hi I'm Freyja o/ I started playing DnD 7 years ago after playing on forums and immediately fell in love with the hobby. I quickly started filling my week with as many games as possible and soon started running my own games. I've ran many of the official campaigns and am currently running a yearlong homebrew game as well. Although I play mostly Pathfinder 2e nowadays, I love trying out new systems from Call of Ctuhlhu to Monster of the Week to Cryptid Creeks and Wanderhome. I'm also currently working on my own system about witches running a magic shop but it's far from done! Other than that, I'm currently studying digital art, I like to draw, craft and bake and play video games!

Character creation

Creating your character

Our first session will be a session 0 where I can introduce pathfinder 2e if needed and we can create characters together. All you need before that is an idea of who you want to play! We will play on foundry vtt and sheets and everything else will get handled on there. All official pf2e content is allowed and we'll use the free archetype feat variant rule.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a discord account and a working mic and internet connection. You do not need an account to play on foundry. Before session 0 you should think about what kind of character you want to play. You don't have to choose a class yet, if you are not sure, but try to think if you want to play a caster or fighter, melee or ranged, healer or brawler...

What Freyja brings to the table

As a gm I want to tell the stories of your characters together. While the world around you moves on its own, I want you to be able to play exactly the characters you imagine and explore and develop them throughout the adventures. I am always happy to discuss your ideas and requests! During the game, I stick mostly to the rules but I am always happy for you to come up with creative solutions to problems, though they might not always work outright and your behaviour will have consequences both negative and positive! I like to use high quality battlemaps as well as ambient maps, npc and monster art to create an image of the world our characters live in. I also use background music and some ambient sounds to enhance the play experience.

Homebrew rules

I don't currently use any homebrew rules, but I am open to add any you suggest! (Upon review of course) We will be using the free archetype feat variant rule.

Safety

How Freyja creates a safe table

I mainly use Lines and Veils and X, N and O cards as well as a checklist of sensitives subject matters for the particular game we play. Secrets of Grayce is a pretty standard pathfinder adventure in terms of violence and subject matters. But I am happy to exclude anything players aren't comfortable with. I will send out a list with specific topics that are included in the module before we begin playing. As a general rule I lean X rated with violence and PG rated when it comes to Sex and Romance. If anything comes up during the game and you do not feel comfortable speaking up or sending a message in the group chat, you can either message me privately or even just send me an X and I will adjust the scene without revealing who requested it! Overall it is very important to me that everyone at the table feels safe and comfortable and you can always approach me with any concerns! Just because I lean certain ways with my GM style or certain things are included in the module, doesn't mean they cannot be adjusted so everyone can have fun!
