About the adventure
Long after humanity's departure from a withered Earth, colonies were founded on the distant planet of Nepsces. Here they not only founded homesteads and environments on the various moons and rings, but learned to coexist with other extraterrestrial species, sharing amongst each other cultures and community. In this new age, the Pokémon league has been founded to ensure the moral of the colonists, and the doors have opened to more than simply human trainers. (Two alien species and two human species will be available at character creation for trainer characters.) In the shadows of these colonies, the old faiths of Earth still remain, but far outside their domain, how will the old gods respond to humanity's new cradle?

About me
I started running games via Dungeons and Dragons eight years ago. I've been a GM on and off since then and started steering more towards Pokémon in the last year and a half. I enjoy putting a heavier focus on my player's individual stories and making them feel like the natural progression of the game, all while making sure no one player feels more important than others. As a player, I've played in the following systems: - Dungeons and Dragons (5e and 5.5e) - Monster Of The Week - Demigods - Vampire The Masquerade - Mage the Ascension - Fantasy Flight - Mutants and Masterminds - Lancer - Fallout It's entirely possible for these systems to effect my playstyle and the games I run, and I take feedback seriously for my games to ensure fun for the whole table.

Creating your character
I'll work with you one on one to create your character and their rival prior to your first session. While we will be mostly using the rules from the core book 2.0, we have some homebrew rules to make the game more fun for everyone at the table. Characters will be starting at beginner rank and preferably at the adult age. Starter Pokémon will be limited to any Pokémon in the book labeled as a "suggested starter," but some Pokémon from gen 9 can also be made available with a bit of conversation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The programs we use are: - Roll20 for dice rolls - Discord for voice call - Google Sheets for character sheets
What Kasper brings to the table
I've worked hard to find the pieces of the system that work well for players and the parts that don't and use a bit of homebrew to make the game more fun. In addition, I prioritize the story of the player characters! Your rival isn't going to just be a one-note character that comes by to annoy you, they are integral to the ongoing story to drag your character, you and your fellow players are the main characters of the play! Center Stage!
Homebrew rules
I have many rules that are covered in a document to help make them easy to find. On that document are my rules for: - Trainer Species with their own benefits. - A Natural 6 being 2 successes. - Type Matchup damages being changed to help the flow of the game. - Removing Confidence and making Natures an attribute modifier. - Changing Frozen Status to Frostbite. (similar to burn) - Evolution Speeds changed to be a bit faster on average. - Mega Evolution. (Not for this game) - Rank Requirements changed to more obtainable milestones.

How Kasper creates a safe table
Part of the Session 0 is to discuss some of the thing expected to come up in the game, float ideas around and point out if something might be an issue prior to the game itself. I keep secret channels between I and my players to message character details or speak to me if something makes them uncomfortable in the moment. Such as and X,N, or O. I will pause after particularly heavy moments, do a quick round of the table, and make sure everyone is doing okay. If anything is uncomfortable, we take a break to chat or even call the session to reassess how to progress while keeping things safe and comfortable.
