About the adventure

Myth-Speaker is a level 1 to 10 mythic adventure path drawing inspiration from classical Greek and Roman mythology and culture. Early in the adventure, player characters will gain access to a mythic calling and other mythic abilities that make them a little more powerful than usual Pathfinder characters, but players will be expected to face more dangerous challenges as well. This campaign is great for players looking to play a classic mythology inspired character such as a minotaur, centaur, merfolk, awakened animal, or some other sort of "monster."

About me

Hi! I'm Cloud Draxie, GM, artist, and overall tabletop and board game enthusiast. As a GM and as player, I value the fun of everyone at the table and support the cooperative nature of TTRPGs. I require my entire table to be LGBTQ+ friendly. I also require that the party be a team in and out of character, meaning there is normally no PvP or stealing from other PCs in my games. My main games are Pathfinder 2nd edition and Upwind, but I like to learn and try out new games too. I enjoy telling stories with my players and challenging them with tough but winnable encounters. I learned game master largely in online settings, so I am quite comfortable running sessions over voice chat and on virtual tabletops, namely Discord and Foundry VTT. Because I always like to have a unique representation of my own characters and understand that some of my players feel the same, I can offer to draw personal little portraits to be used as player tokens in my games that last more than a few sessions.

Character creation

Creating your character

Normal character creation rules will be used, but variant rules will be discussed at session 0. Free Archetype will likely *not* be used in addition of the mythic feats. While I suggest players be flexible until the group discusses party roles, I also highly recommend checking the player's guide for Myth-Speaker to help create a thematically appropriate character.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Links to join the discord server and voice chat are provided on joining the game. Links to the Foundry/Forge server will be provided in the Discord during or before session 0.

What Cloud Draxie brings to the table

I will be providing the virtual space to play including maps, music, and modules for smooth gameplay. If any players need character tokens, I have a decent library that can be selected from, or I can provide a simple sketch or recommend options on request. As for GM style, I adapt to the preferred playstyle of the group, but prefer to keep a balance of roleplay, exploration, and encounters. I generally play with the rules as written, making exceptions when the rules threaten enjoyment of the game.

Homebrew rules

I don't make major changes to the rules, but there are a few home rules I have picked up: Treating background lores as if the PC had the Additional Lore feat, banning Ancient Elf if Free Archetype is in play, and allowing free retraining of recently picked feats or spells for one session after a level up.

Safety

How Cloud Draxie creates a safe table

Tools will be discussed during session 0 (or joining the game after session 0), and a lines and veils document will be given. A button in game can be pressed to display an X card to everyone in game, and I will also monitor chat and keep an eye out for private messages from players. I am available usually before and after sessions for a time and my messages are always open to discuss the game or any concerns. Additionally, I should note that, while this game draws inspiration from Greek mythology, it does not draw on the sexual coercion or misogynistic elements commonly found in those stories. Player Characters are expected to stay clear of those element as well.
