About the adventure
The land of Reggwohl is a standard fantasy world with all of your basic tropes--small towns, big cities, caves, dungeons, taverns, castles, forests, and even fantasy Las Vegas--and I hope it's a fun time for all adventurers, old and new. Throughout your journey, you'll meet lots of NPCs, all with unique voices. My goal is to make you fall in love with at least one of them, even if it ends up being Boblin the Goblin. The world is filled with all sorts of encounters for you to take on. Expect to fight goblins, brigands, and maybe even a dragon! Maybe... don't want to spoil anything... I hope to give you a casual experience, with plenty of moments of levity, and plenty of time to be serious and sit with your characters. Most importantly, however, you're entering a world where there is low player punishment. As your DM, I am not out to get you, kill your character, or annihilate your entire party. Feel free to explore and experiment knowing that I won't kill you for simply calling Guard #4 dumb. Come play with us! I hope to give you a fun time!

About me
Hello, I'm Steven--Puzzle Master and Story Telling Extraordinaire. I love building worlds and homebrews. I'm also a huge fan of letting you explore your ideas and characters, so if you have a fun character that you want to try out, I'm willing as a fellow player to let you (and curse you as your DM for creating something that will cause issues with creating encounters lol). I hope that I can make some enjoyable games for you and your friends! - Steven :)

Creating your character
- I ask all adventurers to create their characters before their first session, as well as talk to me about their backstory so I can more appropriately weave them into the world. The most important part of the backstory though is your answer to the question "What brings you to the Jyaegan Tavern?" - All adventurers will start at level 1 and level up by milestones. If a majority of the group would prefer experience points, I can accommodate this. - I determine stats by rolling 4d6, dropping the lowest, and adding the remaining three. You do not have to do it in order, you can choose where the numbers go. I do have a few caveats with this: (1) I don't like more than one stat being lower than 10 (if you roll a 7 and a 9, reroll the 7)--it makes your character feel less helpless; and (2) I'm not a huge fan of more than two stats being the same number (so if you have three 15s, reroll one of them)--it just freaks me out.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I like to have a Discord server as well as a Roll20 campaign, so please have both ready to go. You don't have to put your character sheet into Roll20, but please have a copy of it somewhere accessible. Also, I like to use Discord VC over Roll20's, so naturally, you will be asked to share your voice with the group. I do not require you to show your face, so if you'd prefer to keep that hidden, you can.
What Steven brings to the table
- I'm a voice actor, so all your favorite NPCs will have voices that I have practiced in my room extensively. - I tend to stick to the rules as much as possible, but if something you want to do is pretty darn cool, I'm willing to figure out a way to allow it. - I care about you having fun. Don't be afraid to ask me any questions or let me know if you're struggling with something. My goal is not to beat you, but to help you beat my game (and have fun doing it with your new friends!).

How Steven creates a safe table
- I am willing to take breaks on anything. If something is making you uncomfortable, let me know and we can take a break. - If there is any kind of content that makes you uncomfortable that you don't want to have come up in the campaign at all, by all means, let me know before we start and I will make a note of it. - My messages are open to you at all times. If you have a problem with something in game or with another player, let me know so we can resolve in the most efficient way possible.
