About the adventure

Want to live the hero fantasy and improve the lives of those around you? Want a game where your choices matter and your story is woven into the fabric of the narrative? This campaign is for you! This classic adventure arc has meaningful choices, heartfelt moments and dynamic combats. Settle into a story that allows you to push back against the world to protect those you care about. --- Game Summary: 🗫 /⚔️ - 60% RP to 40% Combat 🧑‍🏫 - New player friendly campaign 🔎 - Explore adventures in Faerûn, Forgotten Realms campaign setting 📚 - Character backstories interwoven into the larger game narrative --- Adventure Hook: The lower city of Baldur's Gate will eat you alive if you let it. The Flaming Fists will conscript you, the Guild will drag you into the sewers, and the opportunists in the alleyways are counting on you having neither. In this city, status isn't ambition — it's survival. Lucian D'lere knows this. The old merchant is done watching talented people get swallowed up by bad options. He's building an Adventurer's Guild and he needs capable people to make it happen. Steady work. Real pay. You've answered his call. The question now is whether you have what it takes to build something worth belonging to.

About me

Hi there! I'm Zack, and I've been playing and running TTRPGs of all kinds for over 25 years. I've run games at major conventions like GenCon and PAX Unplugged, organized local tournaments, and built countless worlds and adventures from the ground up — all out of a genuine love for the craft. I believe the best tables are the ones where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and aligned on the kind of experience they're there to have. My job as GM is to facilitate a game where players pitch in together, build something shared, and leave the session genuinely excited for what comes next. My goal is to consistently deliver those electric moments — the ones where the whole table leans in and nobody wants the night to end.

What Zack brings to the table

Safe Haven is one of my favorite campaigns and I am excited to play it with a new group. This campaign structure includes music, interesting combats, fun social situations and heartwarming moments. Over the course of this campaign, we will collaborate to create a rich story and follow it as it winds through character backstories and player choices. The first session will be a collaborative session 0. During this session we will frame the characters and their intro to the story.

How Zack creates a safe table

When you sign up for this game you will get a link to a google doc for your lines/veils so that they can be included to share the space for this story. Lines/Veils will be reviewed before each session. Additionally, we will use the X card to stop story moments that cross a line. I also employ Stars and Wishes at the end of session to wrap and provide a place for feedback as the story moves forward.
