About the adventure
You are the people of Stonetop: rangers, crafters, mystics, and warriors trying to keep a tiny hilltop community alive at the edge of the world. Here, a community of just 300 people are just managing to get by. These are your friends, your family, and your loved ones. The world surrounding Stonetop is ancient and half-forgotten. Roads built by a forgotten empire lead to buried fortresses. The fey and Forest Folk haunt the Great Woods, from which you must never fell a living tree. And Stonetop is not the only village out here, trying to get by. Outsiders are always around and doing what it takes to better their own lives. Characters carry scars, obligations, and relationships that matter even more than their swords and sorcery. Over time, Stonetop itself will become a character of its own, shaped by your choices. This is what makes Stonetop a home worth fighting for. Disclaimer: While I am familiar with Powered by the Apocalypse systems, this shortened campaign will be my first time running Stonetop in particular. As such, I will be learning to play just a little bit ahead and alongside you. This campaign will be at a shorter length and at a $5 discount compared to other games I launch this year.

Characters will be created during Session 0 as a group. Please feel free to come to the table with ideas! And be ready to change and adjust your characters along with the rest of the group.

Preparing for the session
- Join the Discord server - Read over the provided handouts and think about what kind of character you'd like to play (but do not create your character yet). - A camera/webcam is optional but highly encouraged!
What Alex brings to the table
The world of Stonetop will be vibrantly narrated with characters and forces of nature that have their own agendas. Consequences will play out organically and we will play to find out what happens, not to tell a pre-written story. To facilitate this, we will use a Miro board with doodles, artwork, mind maps, and more to keep track of the world.

How Alex creates a safe table
During session 0 we will define our lines and veils: content that will not be part of the game and content that can only be alluded In general, my starting Lines & Veils setup is: *Lines*: No sexual assault. No child abuse. *Veils*: Sex, Torture can be referenced in vague terms and never described in detail. It can happen off camera or fade to black if necessary. DURING PLAY: X, N, and O cards will be made available via discord stickers and safe words than can quickly stop a session so we can make corrections. You will always be able to pause play to keep the game safe and fun!
