About the adventure

Starting Gold: 36,000 GP Starting Level: 9th In 2099, nuclear war engulfed Earth in fire and ruin. Oceans boiled, skies blackened, and civilization collapsed beneath atomic destruction. Humanity nearly perished, while elves survived through ancient magic and dwarves, gnomes, and monstrous races endured underground. From the ashes came the Fifth Birthing: the awakening of the Ten Elder Dragons and the Elemental Monoliths. For 9,000 years, the Elder Dragons ruled uncontested as living gods. Nations were crushed before they could rise, rebellions erased before they became wars. Civilization survived only at draconic whim, and survival itself became culture. The world of Yearth still mirrors ancient Earth, though transformed beyond recognition. Saigo rose from Asia and is dominated by dwarves, gnomes, and halflings. Margonzen, born from the Mediterranean, became a land of trolls, yuan-ti, and monstrous races. Calimow, tied to the legends of Dracula, is ruled by lycanthropes, vampires, and cursed bloodlines. Falir controls the frozen north, while Taegar Vlen spans Africa and the Middle East beneath endless deserts. Targa remains one of the last major human strongholds. The Archipelago, formed from the Americas and surrounding regions, is dominated by elves, warforged, and fractured civilizations. Oulva, born from Australia and New Zealand, became a savage land of dire beasts, undead horrors, and primordial monsters. Now the world enters a new era: the Age of Monsters — Descent into the Chasm. Yearth is a Gestalt world. Heroes, monsters, and rulers evolve through dual paths simultaneously. A single warrior may be both Fighter and Wizard, Rogue and Druid, Barbarian and Psion while still remaining only 6th level overall. Adaptation is survival. This evolution reshaped monsters as well. Most apex creatures are gestalt horrors fused with Dragon, Outsider, Aberration, Plant, or Construct bloodlines. Demons merge with machines, angels fuse with living forests, and dragons evolve beside eldritch parasites. Some species evolved through symbiosis entirely, becoming unified predators. The oceans birthed creatures like the Squake: a fusion of giant squid and abyssal shark. Across Yearth, flesh, magic, radiation, psionics, and biomechanical evolution twist life into increasingly impossible forms. This is not an age of heroes. It is an age of survivors, conquerors, monsters, and ascendants. The Age of Dragons is ending. The Age of Monsters has begun.

About me

Hello Adventurers, I have been playing Dungeon and Dragons 3.5 for nearly 11 years. As a Dungeon Masters I have held campaigns over the last 8 years. Are you an experienced player or a new player, I gladly welcome either! I am quite familiar with the world of Dungeons and Dragons 3.5. I am an avid reader both in regards to the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 and similar content. Do you prefer One shot campaigns or Full Length 1 - 20 Campaigns? As a player I try to be quick witted and imaginative, you have to be willing to play your role yet still adapt to the situation. As a Dungeon Master I enjoy giving players opportunities and challenges that will keep them entertained while testing their skills.

Character creation

Creating your character

Starting Gold: 36,000 GP Starting Level: 9th Each character also begins with: 1 Heirloom Item tied directly to your backstory. 1 Rebirth granted by your Patron Deity. All Racial Hit Dice (RHD), Level Adjustments (LA), and templates are fully accounted for at character creation. None are prepaid or bought off at game start. Non-standard races, monstrous bloodlines, and templates are fully allowed, but must be properly calculated into your final Effective Character Level (ECL). This campaign uses Gestalt rules to reflect the brutal “Age of Monsters” setting. Monster racial progression generally occupies one side of the Gestalt while the opposite side may progress through classes and/or templates normally. Players can be multiple base creature races simultaneously like true monsters, but they may combine classes and templates freely so long as the build remains legal. Example without templates on the opposite side: Side A: Bugbear 3 RHD +1 LA + Fighter 2 Side B: Sorcerer 6 Example with templates on the opposite side: Side A: Bugbear 3 RHD +1 LA + Fighter 2 Side B: Half-Minotaur +1 LA, Half-Fiend +4 LA, Rogue 1 Both examples are legal ECL 6 Gestalt characters. == Characters can still be resurrected normally, but doing so is difficult due to: the extreme cost, limited access to powerful divine magic, and the dangers of traveling between major cities capable of performing resurrection magic. Leadership is allowed within standard limits, though certain exceptions may apply depending on story, bloodline, faction ties, or divine influence. What races do you crave to become? What forgotten or legendary 3.5 classes do you wish to finally try? What monsters, gods, dragons, liches, or ancient legends do you hope to stand before? This is a world ruled by monsters, divine bloodlines, aberrations, fiends, dragons, undead, constructs, and ancient powers. Heroes survive through ambition, alliances, brutality, and overwhelming strength.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We use Discord for Communication, Lore and Data. We use Roll20 for our characters and the maps both art and interactive. Links will be provided to both Discord and Roll20 after signup. Tutoring as needed can be acquired by myself and or other players in the server. Please be prepared to utilize roll 20. Dice, a notepad, and a pencil are recommended but not required. A notebook is usually helpful during 1 - 50 campaigns. Most of my campaigns run up to 50 HD to complete the final quests. Character creation would be best handled prior to the start of the session, final touches can be done during zero hour before session. I can assist with character creation if requested. Character leveling should be done in between sessions, I can also help during zero hour before session. A Mic would be preferred so I can hear the players or webcam for their dice rolls if using real dice. I will require a digital character sheet on roll 20. I also would suggest an addition physical copy of the character sheet.

What Adam brings to the table

Countless Custom Digital Maps, Traditional and digital dice, miniatures, Physical copy of some DND 3.5 books. (PHB, DMG, MM1, Spell Compendium and a few others. I will be collecting more books to utilize during campaigns. Also we all have the core and additional texts searchable via online and or through PDF.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew is mostly used if needed, I'm very familiar with the 3.5 worlds and mechanics and have found some that i prefer in regular games. 1 automatic 18 during stat generation. Reroll on 1s in stat generation. Reroll on 1s for health rolls per level. I do allow potions to be applied externally (smashed onto someone or poured) for reduced effects. I let beings feed potions on their turn to an ally if they are willing or incapacitated. I allow called shots on eyes, hearts, brains, and more (Hydra is the basis for the rules behind it). A few other minor ones but those are the beneficial ones. After players hit Epic (21+), Divine (Divine Ranks), or Travel Worlds (Ebberon, Yearth, etc) they can deal with additional homebrew that is allowed. But not geared for the Pre Epic content of the Faerun World.

Safety

How Adam creates a safe table

I take time to help introduce players to the server, the system, the group, the rules, and cover any other questions they have as time goes. Session 1 (First joined session) is always a free session and it lets players get a feel for the group dynamic. If they are needing additional time or need to make changes along the way i am usually able to accommodate them. I try very hard to keep up with the players and with the group of friends that I have found on here. I hope we can all get along and enjoy the worlds!
