About the adventure
You begin not as heroes, but survivors. After your home is destroyed in a brutal raid by an army of various monster races, you flee with the last of your people to a frontier stronghold. This is not your typical chaotic monster attack…the races were well armored and organized, as if they are unified and being commanded. Who was able to gain the influence and command over goblins, orcs, bugbears, and giants against the human race…and why? What begins as a desperate fight for survival grows into a legendary journey across Mystara and eventually the cosmic forces that shape the fate of the world. About me
I’m a USAF Veteran who found a second home in tabletop games. During my tour in Germany, I was voluntold by my work mates to Dungeon Master because they all wanted to learn D&D, but not willing to Dungeon Master themselves. Little to say, I had no Idea what I was getting into....But I fell in love with the craft. As the social group started relocating around the world, I converted my skills to the world of the internet and dedicated myself to mastering the art of VTT. I always had a love for retro video games, but D&D expanded that passion. I found myself pouring into the craft and philosophy behind the classic models of 1st edition. I wanted to experience the adventures that set the standard and shaped D&D what is today, and more importantly, I weanted my players to experience it a well. Now, I bring those legendary stories back from the dead, to keep the legacy alive for modern audiences to experience!

Creating your character
We will create characters together as a group during Sessions 0 using the Advance Fantasy Rules by using the free character builder tool at https://dndcharacter.com. All races and class published by Necrotic Gnome are allowed - Including the Demon Hunter and Tiefling from the brand new Demonic Grimoire book! You are welcome to build your character prior to the session if you are already familiar with the rules if you like!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Things you need: A Discord account. This will be used for voice chat and communication. A desktop or laptop capable of running FoundryVTT in a web browser (No download required).
What Vanny brings to the table
I use my favorite VTT, Foundry for my games. I pride myself in crafting scenes using high-quality maps, animated effects, soundeffects and music created by talented artists in the TTRPG community. Since old school D&D is up my alley, my DM style, leans more on the comabat heavy and dungeon exploration playstyle. However, many classic modules leave key NPC personalities to interpretation. I enjoy using that creative space to bring those NPCS to life through some lite-rolpay to bring the adventure to life without slowing down the pace of the game.
