About the adventure
It's the five-year anniversary of the armistice between the five nations, but the peace is fragile. Border skirmishes between Jesthaen and their two neighbours Voldaen and Hilltop have been happening frequently. Voldaen and Hilltop claim the fighting is between local militia and fanatics, while Jesthaen officials claim they are being harassed and threatened by the other two nations. Where is your PC in all this? Join this epic campaign to find out. Together we build an epic campaign building on the frame in the core rule book, BUT with limited ancestries (see house rules below). No Daggerheart experience necessary, we'll bring everyone on the same page as we play.

About me
Been playing since the red box back in the day and love both classic and modern indie games. System really does matter.

Creating your character
There will be a FREE session zero entirely for character generation, which I will guide as best as I can. Remember: session zero is part of play.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Feel free to read the Daggerheart rulebook or the online SRD where most of the rules are found, including the character/ability/spell, etc. cards: https://www.daggerheart.com/srd/ Although, feel free to come completely unprepared!
What Per brings to the table
We play by the rules as written as far as possible. The focus will be on roleplaying and imagination and creating fiction together as a group, bouncing off each other's ideas. As a GM I am as much a player as you the players are, albeit with some different responsibilities, but it's a communal effort! I will do my best to teach you the Daggerheart rules, but I am sure I will learn a thing or two as well. We play using our imagination – no battle maps, minis or anything of that sort. I am not a voice actor, so I won't do character voices, and I don't expect you to either (and, please, don't unless you're a pro).
Homebrew rules
Only these five ancestries are available in play: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Giant and Halfling.

Safety
How Per creates a safe table
Lines and Veils according to the original description by Ron Edwards: Drawing lines defines what is and is not permitted to occur in the game, at all. Drawing veils is more subtle: certain events may occur, but they are not described or “played” in the sense that most events during the game are played. This is in force during play at all times and not set up ahead of the game.
