About the adventure
Welcome to Cynova City! Cynova City is where dreams come to thrive and become realities! Well, that’s at least what the advertisements told you. Either you were born in Cynova City, or you came here on a shuttleship from Earth or one of the many other colonies. Sure, Cynova is the center of most television shows, novels, and virtual reality experiences, but in reality, it is far from what the media portrays. It’s a city literally run by gangs, each district of the city with a gang leader as its burgher, each answering to an overarching matriarch. No matter where you’re from, you’re now in Cynova and gotta make ends meet and live the best life you can!

About me
I am a Game Designer known as Planetary Penguin Games online! I like running games and campaigns that subvert players' expectations. I do this through hinting at aspects of the future story with symbolism. However, I also include false symbolism: symbols that would lead to one thing but instead don’t lead to anything. I do typically create my own symbolism systems for each campaign or one-shot, meaning these symbols are something for the players to unravel as the story that the players and I create unfolds! I have been playing and running campaigns since 2019, and started making my own rules systems in 2019. Throughout this time, I have ran over 20 campaigns and over 15 one-shots in Dungeons and Dragons 5e (2014 rules) as well as in campaigns of my own creation. I enjoy when players are creative and have fun, leading me to give more freedom to my players than what some previous players have expected.

Creating your character
Character Creation will be handled during a session 0. Due to the nature of Powered by the Apocalypse games, it is best to share at least some aspects of your character with each other, meaning the premises of your characters can (and potentially should) be openly shared with the party. I have the Core Rules of the system and will share it with everyone in the game.

You should come up with a basic concept for your character. While I have the city's basic outline down, it's the background on a canvas you can add details to as you wish.

I will provide the Discord server that we will play in and I will give you access to the core rules and playbooks if you don't have access to it yet.
Homebrew rules
Sometimes I may ask you to roll a different dice for randomization when I want some assistance with determining the output: If you don't want to roll any additional dice, I will roll it myself, but I ask so that you have some additional say in the randomization. Other times I will simply ask you what happens, as that is part of the system's rules.

How Ahnoe B creates a safe table
We will be using a Lines and Veils document. This will be anonymously filled through a google sheet (that you can edit anonymously). This sheet will be alphabetized so that it is not possible to determine when something was put on the list. I do it anonymously so that you do not need to feel pressured to share publically and to help ease any anxieties about being judged. Note: For anything that's "I'm fine if it's present but not for my character", you will need to let me know who you are, which you can do via discord DMs. Before anyone even joins and can put things on this sheet, I will be putting mine on it, both as a way to help yours be less identifiable but so that you are aware of what I'm comfortable with as the GM. X, N, and O cards can be messaged or spoken verbally. No explanation needed. Note: If you wish for additional safety tools to be used, simply let me know with an expanation of what it is and we WILL include it!
