About the adventure
For two hundred years, the city of Marbifask has been under a curse. Every night, when the townsfolk close their eyes, unspeakable horrors fill their sleeping minds. Rumor has it the Witch of Lura Bog is responsible, but the rest is a mystery... One you must solve in this thrilling adventure! Gather clues in the most depressing tavern you've ever seen, populated by a rough and tumble cast of characters. Traverse a swamp filled with nefarious fungi and terrifying monstrosities. Survive long enough to reach the witch's hut, and who knows what you'll find inside... This game is meant to teach D&D 5e (2014). Players of higher experience levels are welcome, but understand that the other players are still learning, so things might move more slowly at times than you are used to.

Creating your character
To maximize the fun, your characters will be level 5. Even if you're brand new to TTRPGs, do not be intimidated! We will cover everything you need to know to play before your first game and at the beginning of the session. If you have a character concept, message me at least 24 hours in advance of the session and I will build a custom character with you. Otherwise, you may choose from a wide selection of pre-built characters. Please do not build your character on DnD Beyond, as they automatically use D&D 2024 rules, and I run D&D 5e 2014.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be playing on Discord, so once you have signed up for the game, I will message you and send you the invite to my server! Please join soon so we can start working on your character soon! Combat will be theater of mind, which means no need for a VTT. If you do not have a set of physical dice, you can use a virtual dice roller. You may want something with which to take notes, either using your phone, computer or a notebook and a writing utensil, whatever is most comfortable for you.
What Tyann brings to the table
I do voices, but struggle to focus with ambient music. I play by the Rule of Cool, so I will reward creativity whenever I can. Combat will be challenging but not overly so, as I don't want to traumatize new players.
Homebrew rules
- Drinking a potion as a bonus action - You gain Inspiration every time you roll a natural 1 - You have advantage on attacks while flanking an enemy

How Tyann creates a safe table
I will send a link to my RPG Consent Form document once you've signed up. The document will explain how the system works. Our X, N & O's will be messaged through Discord. Details will be explained before we begin the game. We will take a break approximately half way through the game for twenty or so minutes. We will not meet for an official session zero, but we will go over basic rules before the game begins. No need to stress over what you don't know! I will guide you through it all.
