About the adventure
Barovia’s Darkest Nights A Curse of Strahd One-Shot Series You don’t remember how you got here. One moment, there was a road, a destination, a purpose. Next, there was only mist… thick, choking, endless. Shapes move where they shouldn’t. Whispers follow just behind your thoughts. And somewhere in the distance, a slow, steady toll of a bell reminds you that time still passes, even if hope does not. Welcome to Barovia. Barovia’s Darkest Nights is a series of connected one-shots set within the cursed domain of Barovia. Each session drops you into a different corner of this land of despair, where the fog twists reality, and survival is never guaranteed. You are not heroes arriving to save the day. You are lost souls, pulled into a place that feeds on fear, tragedy, and fate. Every session is a self-contained story: A crumbling village where the dead do not stay buried A windmill where something far worse than hunger is being fed A ruined abbey promising salvation at a terrible cost A forest path where the night itself seems alive You may play the same character across sessions, or step into Barovia as someone new each time. The land remembers, even if you don’t. Expect: Gothic horror and dark fantasy themes Roleplay-heavy tension and moral choices Deadly encounters where survival is not guaranteed A rotating cast of locations, mysteries, and nightmares This is not a power fantasy. This is a story about endurance, fear, and what you are willing to sacrifice when the night closes in. Somewhere in the distance, something ancient watches… And sometimes, it smiles. Will you find your way out of the fog? Or will you become just another story Barovia tells itself in the dark?

About me
Hi! We are Peach (Keeli Rae) and Grim (John), a married couple of DMs/GMs passionate about TTRPGs. Grim has been a DM for 24 years and has run Dungeons and Dragons from First to Fifth editions, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd editions, Vampire the Masquerade/World of Darkness, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, and Aliens. Peach has been playing for about five years and running games for over a year. She mainly runs DND 5E. We can run Warhammer 40K for Glory Fantasy and Kids on Broomsticks. What should you know about us? We take time and care to prep for each session. We will customize each adventure with stories and plots to make our players' experience one of a kind. Do you like fantasy? Other worlds? History? Fan-Fiction? Heists? We got you. What about horror? That's Grim's Favorite! If you've got an idea, we can help it come to life to be played through. We are also happy to assist players in developing backstories for their characters throughout a campaign and will create custom quests based on those backstories. We love working with players of all levels, from the brand-new to the more experienced. We are also LGBTQIA+ friendly. Come hang out with us as we travel through worlds and adventures!

Creating your character
Using Discord and Roll 20 5e Character sheets. I am open to dnd beyond just need a link to the character so I can proof it for mistakes. Mostly use charactermancer in Roll 20. (formulas in the handout folder. 3: Home-brew is allowed to run it by me first. 4: All players start with 2 healing potions. 5: All players start with 5d10 X 10 gold and starting gear. 6: New players start at level 8 currently. 7: Check out handouts for maps/basic D&D rules/ and NPC tidbits 8: Bar1(red): hp Bar2(blue ):passive wisdom Bar3(green) : AC 9: You can change your display name to be your character name in the options (cogwheel to the right of the screen, top right). 10: While on this page, you may buy any items from the Players Handbook without role playing 11: I will be on voice an hour before game starts for any in-depth questions but feel free to ask anytime. 12: All players will start with 2 magic items, Up to Rare.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
just need discord and mic as this is how I communicate mostly. Please create characters ahead of time so there is a chance to go over it and it does not cut into playtime. I also have a selection of pre-generated characters made if players wish to just jump right in or have a tough time making characters.
What Peach and Grim Games brings to the table
I bring my compendium on Roll20 that can be used in-game. These include: Dungeon masters Guide Players Guide Volos Guide Modenkinin Tome Monster Manual Xanathars Guide Tasha's Guide Fizban's Treasury
Homebrew rules
1: Fumbles and Crits are done via cards; i.e., on a fumble or Critical hit, I draw a card from my deck of Crit or Fumble. This is on top of normal rules. 2: Flanking is in all games. 3: Healing Potions are a bonus action to drink, but to give an ally is an action. If drank as an action, they heal the full amount 4: Material components are not necessary in one shot. 5: Coin of Revivify; When players die the first time, they instead use this coin to return to full health.

How Peach and Grim Games creates a safe table
Some gameplay may contain body horror, alcohol/gambling reference, and flirty characters. I use Lines and Veils as safety tips, players may address any issues by asking as well. This game is a murder mystery and race against time style.
