About the adventure
The capital is rotting from the inside out. Beneath its cobbled streets and gaslit alleys, something ancient stirs—something that remembers when humanity feared the dark. In Vaesen – City of My Nightmares, you are called to investigate a string of grisly, unnatural murders that defy logic and reason. What begins as a simple inquiry spirals into a deeper mystery tied to the very origins of the Society itself. This is a four-part campaign set in a haunting vision of the 19th century, where folklore is real, and the truth is far more terrifying than superstition.

Creating your character
We will create characters together during the first session on the server. I have the official Foundry VTT modules for both the core rules and the campaign ready to use. You also will be expected to create an account on Archivist AI.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord link will be shared once you are approved for the game. I use Molten Hosting to host the game, and your username will be created based on your Discord handle.
What David brings to the table
Ambient music will be provided to enhance the horror and mystery of the setting, along with various thematic add-ons that bring each scene to life. What you can expect: I’m a big fan of using technology to elevate the experience, including AI-generated voice notes through Archivist AI. I focus heavily on immersive, slow-burn horror and mystery, and we’ll discuss Lines and Veils beforehand to ensure the game is a good fit for everyone. I’m looking for players who want to actively engage with the story and lean into the horror and investigation.
