About the adventure
This campaign will be an alternate take on the events leading up to the game Baldurs Gate 3. If you've never played it before, you will witness some key spoilers for act 1 and 2, but the game is otherwise open to everyone😁 Ulder Ravengard, Duke of Baldurs Gate, has been sent to answer an unlikely peace treaty from the city state of Elturel. Feeling a looming sense of danger he sends you, a band of former soldiers all kept at bay by a terrible secret... During your visit, the town detatches from the ground and drags all it's people down into Avernus, the first layer of hell🔥 Will you be able to save the people of Elturel as well as your commander, or will you let Baldurs Gate be next on the chopping block?

Creating your character
Although I'm open to accommodate to all experience levels, I suggest reading up on how to create and play a character that's at level 5 beforehand, as it's the level we'll start playing. If you got any questions on character creation or if you want to create the character in tandem with me. you are free to HMU whenever! Outside of stats, you should create your character with the mindset of them being a former soldier, so think of these two things: 1.What made your character join the army? 2. Why did your character retire? Was it by choice or force? Homebrew is allowed HOWEVER, it has to be sent to me beforehand and can be retracted between games in case I sense some balancing issues. I also usually prefer flavor over homebrew so if you want to do something specific I'm more than willing to help you find it using the rules.

What Edward Krog Paixao brings to the table
I see myself as a DM that can adapt to each situation. A session can either lead you to tears, or make you burst out laughing depending on what you want to do. The rule of cool might be my greatest tool for this, so don't be afraid of trying to do something your character "technically" can't do. Other than that I commit fully to voice any NPCs you'd meet on the way, and to make them all as fleshed out and memorable as possible.

How Edward Krog Paixao creates a safe table
I work as a DM for children professionally, so safety is an important concern of mine. Before the game all Players will be sent a Monte Cook RPG consent checklist. The first session will also be a session 0 where we will discuss the use of the Luxton technique to make sure every player has the option to modify any potential triggers that may arise. All sessions will be Open door as well so if you need to take a break or leave early that is totally fine and a recap of any missed story details will be sent to you before the next game can take place❤️
