About the adventure
You are a member of DangerGal’s Bobcat Squad. DangerGal is a cutesy private investigation company, at least by day. By night? It's a special forces group taking down the evil megacorporation known as Arasaka. Two decades ago, Arasaka started a war that killed millions and destroyed your home, Night City. Now, as Night City rebuilds, you make sure Arasaka doesn't step foot in it again. All while keeping up the appearance of being an adorable detective. What does your life look like? Solving who murdered two Night City councilors, ensuring to smile for the cameras. Eliminating an Arasaka sleeper cell, ensuring to stick to the shadows. Hanging out with your squad mates and playing paintball at 4am. Looking on as Puma Squad gets the credit for your hard work. Picking out what outfit goes best with your cat ears. Roleplay-heavy, story-focused campaign! Beginner through expert level. This campaign takes place in 2045, so 30 years before the video game while Night City is still rebuilding from the war/atomic bomb and Arasaka is banned from the continental US. This campaign is structured, in the sense that you will be a member of DangerGal, though it will still be personal with things such as backstories and character arcs. You're just part of an agency that sends you out to do things. You can still have any role that you want! Want to go all-in on the company part? Be a DangerGal exec. Want to be the company driver? Be a nomad who comes from a badlands nomad family but is currently working as a member of Bobcat Squad. Very flexible, you just have to agree to be part of the team. As an LGBTQ+ femme-individual, I know most places are stocked with straight dudes, so I especially want this to be a gender-inclusive, LGBTQIAA2S+-inclusive, space. Session 0 is free! This game will start Tuesday, May 5th at the earliest.

About me
Hi! My name is Brooke, and I’m passionate about role playing and storytelling. I’ve been involved in TTRPGs for 5 years and GMing for 4 years. I’m most acquainted with Cyberpunk RED (both in the core 2045 and 2077 setting with the Edgerunners Mission Kit). I’ve GMed over 100 Cyberpunk RED games, whether they be in a campaign, living community, or one-shot format. I’ve also played hundreds of Cyberpunk Red games. In addition, I’ve run games of Cy_borg, CBR + PNK, Marvel Multiverse, Shadowrun 2nd Edition, and Cyberpunk 2020. I also have experience playing MASKS and Fallout 2d20. I enjoy trying new systems, so if anyone wants to play anything from Vampire the Masquerade to Brindlewood Bay, I’m down. I can run DnD if need be, but my hope is to give other games the spotlight they deserve. What brings me to RPGs, and to GMing, is my love of acting. I enjoy role playing and creating a world and stories where people can deeply inhabit their characters around fun, life-like NPCs. What’s most important to me is my players feel comfortable and have fun, and as a femme member of the LGBTQIA+ community, that especially means welcoming those who may have felt excluded from the ttrpg community in the past.

Creating your character
I have a preferred character sheet that I will send to you when you join the campaign. Our character creation follows the "Complete Package" rules found on page 42 of the Cyberpunk RED Core Rulebook. This means that characters start at rank 4 of their chosen role, with 62 stat points, 60 distributable skill points, 2550eb for weapons/gear/cyberware/etc, and 800eb solely for fashion. You will also need to fill out your characters' lifepath, both overall and for their specific role. Please take time with the lifepath, including things like friends and enemies. You can role for things or choose, I am fine with either. Just know that you have to say how you ended up with DangerGal at some point. Your enemies, friends, and lovers will be used in the campaign; being in Bobcat Squad doesn't mean that you aren't going to be asked to find your arch-enemy's stolen data! So please take time with your lifepath/backstory, but also please do not write a 10 page document of character lore. Have fun with it! You can use items from every published work for Cyberpunk RED besides the Edgerunners Mission Kit and other 2077 items. This includes the Corebook, Black Chrome, DangerGal Dossier, Hope Reborn, Interface 1-4, all the free DLCs on the publisher's website, and anything else I may be forgetting. Interface 5 has some broken items in it, so if you want to use anything from there we'll have to talk about it first. If you are a first-time player, it might be overwhelming to have so many options, so I'd suggest focusing on just the Corebook. But you are free to dive in to everything! Character creation will be done between when you join the game and the first actual session. I'll just need the sheets at least 4 hours before our first session to see if anything needs to be tweaked and add certain things about you to the campaign. We will go more in-depth on character creation during session 0 if needed. If you have any questions, PLEASE reach out! I am here to help you, and I LIKE helping players!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord and Roll20 account. The campaign will have a server for both of these, whose links you will receive upon joining the campaign. Please have at least skimmed the rules from the Cyberpunk RED core rulebook. Especially pages 126-194 (you only need to read about your own personal role ability, though). Pages 220-231 are also very helpful. If you are playing a Netrunner, please read 195-218 as well. Please also read pages 271-2 for the section about DangerGal! You will also need to fill out my Campaign Safety Document, so that I know what triggers need to be avoided. The safety document will be given to you when you join the campaign. (Do note that anything in the Content Warning section is unable to be removed from the campaign. The safety document is for possible triggers that are not necessary for the game). Please let me know if you have any questions.
What Brooke- GM sadhedonist brings to the table
I bring a narrative set in a world where each NPC feels like a real person and the city is alive. I do voices, have pictures, use excellent maps, and have an overall narrative that works around your characters. I am very communicative with my players, and will ask your thoughts about my ideas for your characters' narratives so that you have a say. I am patient and good with explaining the ropes to new players, so you have a teacher who believes in you. I provide the space for people to get really into role-play and to act out exactly what they're doing. I provide challenges that are narratively-based, rewarding, and are challenging, yet achievable. My inbox is open for anything you need to say (just keep it kind), and I will always reach out if need be. I offer a chance to really get to know the rules and mechanics of the game, as I follow rules as written and often call for checks. (You describe what you do, I'll tell you when to make a check. They're pretty often and you'll be using every skill on your sheet at some point). I am referred to as a cyberpunk lore expert and like what I set up to be lore-compliant, so you will get to know the entire line of Cyberpunk lore as well. I'll give handouts for any important information or characters. I will also have a playlist for each game, and you can suggest any music that you want.
Homebrew rules
I do not have any specific homebrew, as I'm a very Rules as Written GM. But if we collectively want to change a rule or add in a homebrew item, that's totally cool. And Cyberpunk is special because one of the roles has an ability that lets you invent homebrew items! Yes, you!

How Brooke- GM sadhedonist creates a safe table
My main focus as a GM is that we all have fun. Of course, in order to have fun, you must feel safe! Below you can find the content warnings for this game, which are elements inherent to the game. For other potential triggers, I have a Campaign Safety Document based off the Monte Cook checklist that basically contains possible triggers that could be in the game and you can mark them as Green, yellow or red, which stand in for okay, veils, and lines. The document itself has more information, including an explanation of lines and veils. This DOES need to be filled out, ideally before session 0, so I can let people know if any topics need to be fade-to-black or not in the game. That document also asks for what you would like to see in the game, and as the game goes on you can always tell me what you like, don't like, or want to see more of through informally talking to me or with a formal "report card" that will go out after your first 6 sessions and then likely ever 15 sessions after that, if the campaign ends up going that long. I have both formalized breaks (usually a 13 minute break around the halfway point), but also have an open door policy. Any time you need to go to the bathroom, excuse yourself, deal with something, just message that chat that you'll brb. I want you to take care of those things without any stress! There is a session 0, in which I'll go over any lines or veils listed from the safety document answers, we'll create a sort of informal "guidelines" for campaign conduct, I'll talk a bit more about the campaign, we can talk about character sheets, rules, more info on the safety tools, whatever. Session 0 is free. Lastly, I do use the X-Card. Anytime you need a scene to stop, you can just either DM "X"," tag me with an "x" any any of the discord channels, or, if we are on roll 20, there will be a virtual x card that you can just click on and it will pop up on everyone's screens without showing who clicked it. I'm also always available to listen or reach out to, and if I think anything is amiss, I will absolutely check in with you privately after the game and make sure things are all good. If you have any other ideas about things you feel would make you feel safe and have fun, you can absolutely bring it up at any point. I'm a super chill dude who's always open to suggestion. If you have any questions, please let me know!
