About the adventure
At Crownspire Academy, teenage heroes in training balance classes, cliques, and crushes alongside combat drills, public rankings, and high stakes internships. Like Sky High, the school is a pressure filled social ecosystem, students are sorted by potential, judged by peers and faculty alike, and constantly reminded that not everyone is expected to succeed. Like My Hero Academia, heroism is a profession watched by the public, shaped by media perception, and governed by strict rules where reputation can elevate you or ruin you. This is a Masks: The Next Generation campaign about growing up powerful before you know who you are. Your characters aren’t just learning how to fight villains; they’re learning how to define themselves under expectations they didn’t choose. Legacy students live in the shadows of famous heroes, others struggle to be taken seriously, and some are quietly labeled liabilities. Every test, internship, and crisis pushes at your Labels, asking whether you’ll conform, break, or redefine what being a hero really means. Play emphasizes character drama, emotional choices, and evolving relationships. Victory isn’t measured by winning fights, but by surviving adolescence with your sense of self intact. At Crownspire Academy, the question isn’t if you’ll wear a mask, it’s whether it will ever truly be yours

About me
Welcome, storytellers, schemers, and seekers of strange worlds! I’m a GM with 7+ years of experience crafting immersive, character driven stories across a wide variety of systems and settings. Whether you’re here for grimdark horror, noir intrigue, cosmic dread, or a chaotic romp through a world of wild adventure, I’ve got you covered. My greatest joy as a Game Master is creating a space where players feel empowered to shape the world and make bold, unforgettable choices. I’m deeply familiar with the World of Darkness in all its beautiful, brooding glory: Vampire, Mage, Hunter, Demon, Mummy, and more. From twisted political games in the night haunted cities to the haunting path of the Fallen, I know the splats, the lore, and the mechanics inside and out. But that’s just the beginning. I also run: • Dungeons & Dragons (5e & 3.5) • Pathfinder (1e & 2e) • Mutants & Masterminds • Masks: A New Generation • Blades in the Dark • Call of Cthulhu • …and a wide range of other indie and mainstream systems. If you’re curious about a system not listed, just ask. Odds are, I’ve played it, run it, or I’m game to dive in and make it happen. Tone wise, I have a strong love for dark, moody, and atmospheric stories, gothic horror, grim futures, supernatural conspiracies, but I’m just as comfortable with light hearted adventures, heists, pulp action, or comedic fantasy. I’m flexible and love collaborating with players to hit the tone you want. Mechanically, I believe in the Rule of Cool. If the dice are grinding momentum to a halt, I’ll bend things to keep the story flowing. That said, I respect the system and know when to let mechanics shine. I’m patient, open to questions, and always happy to guide newer players or offer narrative tools to veterans looking to go deeper. My tables are collaborative, inclusive, and story first. I’m big on session zero, safety tools, and making sure everyone’s voice matters, whether you’re a first time player or a decades long veteran. So if you’re looking for a GM who can: • Weave intricate plots with high stakes and rich lore • Pivot seamlessly between horror, humor, and heroism • Support your character’s personal journey while keeping the table engaged • And offer a professional, reliable, and player focused experience. Then let’s tell a damn good story together.

Creating your character
Character creation uses the Masks: The Next Generation core rules. Players create teenage heroes in training, for the purposes of the game all characters will be 18 to enter the academy, newly accepted or recently enrolled at Crownspire Academy. Choose a playbook that reflects not only your powers, but how the world views you. Legacy students, unstable prodigies, overlooked talents, rebels, or outsiders all fit naturally within the setting. Powers should feel flashy, thematic, and imperfect; control and public perception matter as much as raw strength. During creation, special attention should be given to Labels, Influence, and relationships. Faculty, family members, and rival students may begin with Influence over you, representing Crownspire’s intense scrutiny and expectations. Costumes, hero names, and reputations are important, but they are not fixed since your character will grow, change, and redefine themselves through play. Premade characters may be available, but original characters are strongly encouraged to help shape the academy’s evolving story.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should come prepared to engage in character driven, collaborative storytelling. This is a game young hero’s so lean into your uncertainty, emotional reactions, and internal monologues are just as important as action. Think about your character’s insecurities, expectations, and relationships as much as their powers, who pressures them, who they want to impress, and who they resent or admire. Familiarity with the Masks: The Next Generation rules is encouraged, especially Labels, Influence, and conditions. Be ready for scenes focused on school life, rivalries, media attention, and mentorship alongside superhero action. Consistent attendance and respectful communication are expected; the story moves best when everyone contributes regularly. Above all, come ready to explore growth, failure, and identity, Crownspire Academy is about becoming a hero, not starting as one.
What Silas the Endless brings to the table
I will provide a fully realized campaign set at Crownspire Academy, including a living cast of faculty, rival students, and heroes who actively shape the story. Players will receive clear scene framing, consistent narrative momentum, and a strong focus on character spotlight moments. I will handle all rules adjudication for Masks: The Next Generation, including Conditions, Influence shifts, and dramatic consequences. I will also provide setting support such as academy lore, hero society context, and evolving school events like exams, internships, and public incidents. Safety tools will be in place from the start, and player input will be respected when shaping themes and arcs. My goal is to offer a collaborative, character first experience where your choices meaningfully impact both Crownspire Academy and the city below.

How Silas the Endless creates a safe table
Player safety and comfort are a priority in this game. We will begin with a Session 0 to establish expectations, boundaries, tone, and themes. Lines and Veils will be used to clearly define content that is off limits or handled off screen, and these can be updated at any time. An Open Door policy is always in effect, players may step away temporarily or permanently without pressure or explanation. This game includes regular breaks to prevent burnout and allow emotional decompression. Players are encouraged to communicate concerns privately or publicly, and adjustments will be made as needed. Emotional intensity, teen drama, and conflict are part of the story, but harm to players is not. The goal is a respectful, inclusive environment where everyone feels safe exploring challenging themes together.
