About the adventure
BATTLE FOR NEWARK: This city serves as the frontline for the Anarch efforts to establish themselves within NYC. PRETENDERS TO THE THRONE: The North Ward is held by Hecata Baron Lucrezia di Giovanni. Her family has wealth, weapons, and a vicegrip on the city. SEIZE NEW YORK: Enlist allies to oust the Giovanni or help them secure their throne, and assemble a vicious united army of Anarchs ready to topple the floundering Camarilla in Manhattan. BACKSTORY DRIVEN: Your own character's narrative will drive the plot forward! Whether fighting your Sires or struggling to maintain Humanity, your PCs will be the stars. VAMPIRE 5TH EDITION: As Neonates, you will have a wide array of disciplines, powers, and capabilities after a century of undeath. Beginners are more than welcome to sign up. PLAY-BY-POST: Type out your actions and dialogue to coordinate with your Coterie and play throughout the week! Playing includes access to a wide catalog of assets via Demiplane.

About me
Hello! My name is Jared (known online as Jerd) and I've been running and playing tabletop games since 2016. When a group of friends expressed interest in learning Dungeons & Dragons, I volunteered to DM a homebrew 5e game, which set me on a long and incredible path into gaming. During the pandemic, I took my hobby online and played almost daily. Though most of my TTRPG experience is in the fantasy genre (D&D 5e/5.5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart, etc.), I have also run World of Darkness systems including a Berlin-based Vampire: The Masquerade play-by-post (running now for 2+ years!), and newer systems like Outgunned and Shadowdark. I particularly enjoy horror games such as Mothership, Alien, and Candela Obscura.

Creating your character
- PDFS INCLUDED: As a player, you will be provided to most available Vampire 5th Edition books available on Demiplane. - EASY TO USE: Inconnu is a dice bot that tracks character stats, rolls dice, and helps guide every command for an intuitive tabletop experience. - FREE SESSION 0: We will meet as a table to go over character relationships, backstory, and expectations! Billing will not begin until you all Rouse on Night 1. - RISK IT ALL: By taking additional Flaws at character creation, you can earn extra dots in Merits and Backgrounds on a 1-to-1 basis. - BACKSTORY DRIVEN: Though the narrative will have an overarching throughline, your PC's background, touchstones, and choices will drive the world around them.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account, a Demiplane account, as well as a decent Wi-Fi connection to send and receive messages. Additionally, some familiarity with the Inconnu Discord bot is a plus but not required; I will give a brief overview to commands as needed!
What Jared brings to the table
NO MATERIALS NEEDED: I will provide the core rulebook and various sourcebooks through Demiplane, as well as guidance on how to import everything into Inconnu. FICTION FIRST: My tables are focused on the narrative, where rule of cool always plays a key role in deciding what happens. BACKSTORY DRIVEN: I enjoy weaving in every character's background, motivations, and goals into the overarching plot! AN OPEN WORLD: My players are encouraged to turn over every stone and explore and every avenue that interests them. SETTING THE SCENE: I provide visual aides for locations, characters, maps, and more! Tupperbox will be used to denote specific characters for clear communication.
Homebrew rules
There is the option to take additional Flaws in character creation to take additional Merits, which we will discuss as a table! Additionally, I give more XP than typical per Night due to the slower nature of a play-by-post campaign.
