About the adventure

Cheliax’s shadow stretches long across Isger. Hellknights enforce order through fear, devils whisper behind noble doors, and ordinary people suffer beneath a distant throne that sees them only as expendable. In Hellbreakers, you begin as low-ranking members of the Hellbreakers League, an organization of freedom fighters ready to strike back. This campaign follows the fight to liberate Isger during the opening sparks of the Inner Sea War. You’ll clash with Hellknights, outmaneuver fiendish forces, rally common folk to your cause, and carry the banner of rebellion into forgotten countryside and occupied towns. From tense urban subterfuge to open battlefield confrontation, your choices will shape how the Hellbreakers are remembered: heroes of the people or dangerous insurgents. Built for levels 1–10 using Pathfinder 2e Remastered rules, this game emphasizes teamwork, tactical combat, moral tension, and the thrill of standing against overwhelming power. Expect devils, political intrigue, desperate missions, and hard-won victories as you decide what freedom truly costs—and how far you’re willing to go to claim it. Read more about the setting and campaign in the official player's guide: https://downloads.paizo.com/Hellbreakers_PlayersGuide.pdf FREE SESSION 0 will establish safety tools, define lines and veils, tie your characters to the Hellbreakers League, and make sure every PC has a personal stake in Isger’s liberation before the first blade is drawn.

About me

I have been a GM since the release of Pathfinder 2e over 6 years ago. I primarily run published adventure paths through official Foundry modules to ensure that my players get the best virtual experience possible. I work hard to tailor each campaign to the individual group. Since everyone is different, I want to make sure that each player gets their ideal mix of roleplay and combat as well as the right challenge level in both social and tactical scenarios. Likewise, I work to integrate the player characters into each adventure, so their backstory and actions have a truly meaningful impact on the story and result in a unique experience for everyone. I love teaching and try to structure all of my campaigns to be as beginner friendly as possible. I find it particularly rewarding to see players learn and enjoy a new system, especially if it grows into their favorite system just like it did for me.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation begins at level 1 as members of the Hellbreakers League, with strong ties to Isger and a clear reason to oppose Cheliax’s rule. Martial characters, divine champions, spies, and wilderness scouts all shine in this campaign. We’ll go over character concepts, party connections, and mechanical options during Session 0, but characters must be fully built and ready to play before Session 1. For ancestry, class, background, and lore recommendations tailored specifically to this adventure, review the official Player’s Guide before we meet: https://downloads.paizo.com/Hellbreakers_PlayersGuide.pdf

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using Discord for communication and Foundry VTT to run the campaign. You will not need to download or setup anything prior to the campaign.

What Phantom brings to the table

What are you paying for? 1. The Right Table. I vet every player to ensure the table has the right mix of enthusiasm and attitude. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or picking up a d20 for the first time, my goal is a welcoming, serious environment where everyone is here to learn, grow, and have a great time. 2. Reliability. I show up, I come prepared, and I treat every session with the same professionalism I expect from my players. You won't get last-minute cancellations or half-baked prep. 3. System Mastery. PF2e has a lot of moving parts, and I know all of them. Rather than letting the rules feel like a wall, I break them down and help you understand how your character works and why. New players especially will be able to bring their character fantasy to life without feeling lost or overwhelmed. 4. Fair, Exciting Play. I run the rules straight, no fudging, no cheating. Every combat and social encounter is crafted to genuinely challenge the party and keep everyone on their toes. If your clever plan or lucky roll takes down a villain, you earned it. I am here to challenge you, not defeat you. 5. A Premium Virtual Table. Foundry VTT means immersive maps, a clean and intuitive UI, and smooth automation that handles the heavy lifting. I also add custom animations and effects that make your abilities feel as unique as your build, so we spend more time playing and less time doing arithmetic.

Safety

How Phantom creates a safe table

This campaign deals with themes of war, oppression, torture, and political violence. Player safety and comfort always come first. The free Session 0 will include a dedicated safety discussion where we establish expectations, tone, and boundaries before play begins. We will use Lines and Veils to clearly define hard limits (content that will not appear in the game) and fade-to-black elements (content that may exist but won’t be described in detail). These boundaries can be updated at any time. During sessions, we will use the X-Card (digital or verbal equivalent). If something makes you uncomfortable, you can type “X” with no explanation required, and we will immediately adjust or move past the content. You should always feel safe, respected, and in control at the table.
