About me

I love games! I will try almost everything and I get so much joy out of helping others have fun and play games as well. I have been game-mastering for several decades. Although D&D 5.5e is the game I play most often, I also run Daggerheart, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Shadowrun, and most recently Marvel Multiverse RPG. I have been DMing since 1979! I feel like I am still a kid at heart. I run games both in person and online. I love to try to create the most emersive experience I can - I use a TV with Foundry VTT for battlemaps in person and Roll20 and Foundry for online games. For my long term games, I love to provide my in-person players with a personalized 3D printed miniature - a side hobby of mine. I also enjoy playing tabletop games like Imperial Assault, Clank, Robo-Rally, and Battletech.

What Tim Wetzel brings to the table

If you are new, we will walk through the game so you have fun and get to know how the system works. The rule of cool is a big part of superhero games. My response will either be "you can try" or "yes and..." I encourage you to define the game direction from your character's point of view.

Safety

How Tim Wetzel creates a safe table

Before we start playing, I will review the "rules of the game" so to speak: being kind, sharing the spotlight, and going over the safety rules and methods of sharing your thoughts. During this I would request if there are any lines or areas that your would want to avoid. If there are any immediate concerns during, I request that the players text me in a private chat during the game and we will address it immediately. A digital version of X, N, and O cards essentially. Private message me and I will act appropriately. We will take Breaks as needed. I run a PG13 game. I keep my descriptions and actions at that level and expect you to do the same. This includes how your characters act and speak. Excessive swearing and such can make your fellow players uncomfortable and really isn't needed to have a great time. The occasional expletive is ok, but having it consistent is not necessary.
