About the adventure
The world of Curseborne isn’t so different from ours. It’s just ever so slightly weirder. The supernatural exists, and it creates a near-perpetual underlying tension and fear. In this game, you play one of the Accursed, supernatural characters lurking in the boundaries of the world. Tied into powerful familial curses, you accept or reject them in equal measure, working with your friends and family to carve a path through this cursed world. The Danger of Missing Out is a one-shot adventure to introduce new players to Curseborne, now available in POD and PDF at DriveThruRPG or preorder the retail version on Backerkit from Onyx Path Publishing. Curseborne is a modern horror and urban fantasy game using the new Storypath Ultra system. This session will teach the basics of the system as the crew seeks to find a missing friend.

Creating your character
I will provide ready-made characters which the players may choose from at the start of the game. These can be further personalized if the player wishes. Those with access to Curseborne are free to create their own starting characters using that document.

How Travis Legge creates a safe table
We will begin with a session zero discussion where everyone lists things they do and do not wish to see, we discuss the safety tools in play, and we select ready-made characters for everyone if needed. We'll use X, N, and O verbally or typed in the chat. We will have a brief discussion at the end of the session to go over likes and dislikes. We'll take one break in the middle of the session, but players may get up and leave the table as needed.
