About the adventure
Hello and welcome to Deerstalker! Deerstalker is a TTRPG system that hones in on what makes a murder mystery fun to solve. Have you ever watched a Sherlock Holmes movie and thought you could do better? Now's your chance! There are different archetypes based on famous detectives such as Columbo, Benoit Blanc, Miss Marple, and more! There is also an option to make a custom detective to suit your needs. Deerstalker is grounded in the real world. However, there is some room for supernatural elements such as psychic powers, werewolves, or ghosts. This particular game is set in 1913 aboard the ocean liner ship, RMS Tethys. The ship is bound from London to New York on a grand and luxurious journey across the sea. Can you and your fellow players solve the murder before you end up on the cutting room floor?

About me
Howdy! My name is Ellie. I have been playing and DMing DND 5e and a host of other systems (such as Masks, Monster of the Week, Good Society, and have even made my own TTRPG system) for almost 10 years. I would love to take my skill set and use it to host even more games. DMing is super fun for me, and I love coming up with new modules and story ideas to have a good time with players foiling my plans every step of the way. I am part of the LGBT community, and when I host games you can be sure that it is a safe space for any queer players. I also do not tolerate racism, sexism, or any other hateful content or speech at my tables. I aim to make my games fun and safe for all involved. On this note, I utilize the X card so that players know they can take a time out any time if needed to discuss how to proceed if they are uncomfortable with a current situation in game. I am open to almost any setting or system that you want to try. I am a flexible, highly collaborative DM who plays for the love of the game. Please feel free to message me any specific questions on discord.

What Ellie brings to the table
This will be the third play test of Deerstalker. I expect this game to run rather smoothly, but there is room open for feedback at all times. My previous players have been absolute darlings who have made this system so much better than when we started out. Most of this will be theater of the mind and light combat. There will be some game maps for scenes where you're investigating an area. We will be sticking to the rules because we are trying to test the rules. I am chill, and I go with the flow. I love player shenanigans, and I try to be encouraging.

How Ellie creates a safe table
We will have session 0 to establish expectations along with veils and lines. There is an x card that can be utilized, along with breaks during the session. In my games we do not play with historical racism, sexism, or homophobia unless that is a setting the players want toggled on. The default setting is off! Any bigotry from a player is an insta ban.
