About the adventure
IMPORTANT: This game is Text-Based! We will play entirely using text rather than voice in structured weekly sessions! San Francisco! To most, a sterling spot of culture and urban life along the California coast. But to Changelings, it was something much more, much more! This city once burst at the seams with life and creativity, with glamour and magic and the fae, but those days have waned. The 1989 Earthquake killed not only a fair share of kithain and their fae spirits, but nearly all the wonder and life that once spread in the city like a blooming field. But, things are improving. The many mage cabals may be an annoyance, but life and art and even satyrs are once again returning to this city. But with them, in the Summer of 1999, comes another. A sidhe, one of the highest elves from Arcadia, rides through the Dreaming and to your doorstep. This elf is notorious, legendary, and as glamorous as the city combined. And with her comes a storm, not just any storm... a blizzard. 🎉Party like it's 1999! - Step into the World of Darkness at it's brightest! The sunny coast of California circa 1999! Walk the beaches, walk the streets, and walk the hidden faerie paths only available to your kith and kin! 🌟 Wizards and Fairies! - San Francisco in the World of Darkness isn't home to Bloodsuckers and Hunters, but to the most magically affluent of the World of Darkness! Thrust among wizards and pixies as you balance your real banal life and the mystical second world in this urban fantasy adventure! 🐉Changelings and Dreaming! - Pick your own faerie path! Challenge the banality of the world, explore the dreaming, and see the mystical in the mundane, as you face off against one of the most powerful elves the Dreaming has to offer! If you're interested in this campaign, but still not sure on the setting, I strongly recommend this video for a peak into the type of adventure YOU'LL be having as you face off against Queen Freya, the Winter Lady! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ngA5wLpmRs

About me
Hii! I'm Vivian. When I was a kid, I used to draw comics and make up characters, and with my friends, build worlds. Since my youth, I've always been a creative, a storyteller, and a bit of a rat. I suppose that I've been running games for well over a decade, though my first experience with real meaty gameplay was just seven years ago, when I ran my first session of D&D for my online group. I could say it was perfect, but it wasn't. That first campaign lasted two or so years, and while clunky and imperfect, it was mine. It was my first true campaign, and with that group, I continued GMing. I became a terminal forever-DM, and have spent far more than a reasonable amount of time studying, practicing, and honing my craft. My shelf of books is overflowing, my collection of wisdom and practiced techniques an armory unending, and my amount of insane nonsensical homebrew and game design documents unsettling. I'm a storyteller first, an artist second, a writer third, and an enjoyer of Little Caesar's Lunch Special (Half a deep deep dish with a 20 oz soda! for just 8 dollars) fourth, but coming in a few places behind that, I consider myself an adequate, if not exceptional, Gamemaster... I mean, my players say I'm the best GM either, and I won't call them liars to their faces!

Creating your character
Character Creation will occur during Session 0 after we clear up our outlines and clear the air. We'll mainly refer to the core book for character concepts but I'm more than willing to delve some splatbooks to help with particular concepts, or work with you to flesh out your kithain idea!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
After getting a forge.vtt account and joining the discord, I recommend watching this really good video! It'll give you a strong idea of the the themes and ideas the campaign is vibing with! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ngA5wLpmRs
What Roxanne brings to the table
I will provide music, ambience, and cool visual accompaniment to proceedings. While the game likely won't require much in the way of virtual tabletop, the addition of character sheet management and a suite of tools at my disposal will make the story immersive and enthralling. On top of that, you'll get art of both your Kithain and their Human Counterpart, a headshot for tokens and talking.

How Roxanne creates a safe table
As this is a mature game dealing with a lot of heavy themes that may be explored, there will be a significant Session 0 where characters are designed and such concepts are brought up. The group's consensus on what is and isn't appropriate or comfortable to touch on will be noted well in advance of playtime. The setting is the late 90's and in San Francisco, and you will play as outsiders facing off against what can best be described as an Elven Supremacist. It's impossible to avoid a lot of the most interesting subjects you can explore here, various prejudices and violence included, but I'll work with you to set those dials.
