About the adventure

For this campaign, we will be journeying in Pathfinder's campaign setting of Golarion. Stitching together three different adventures, we will tell a story that dives into the history of the Saga Lands. Starting in the Ironbound Archipelago, we will then move to the southeast, visiting a small town nestled in the Varisian Gulf with a deep historical impact, and even venturing out into the mainland of New Thassilon! From adventure to adventure, the tone will shift, sometimes lighthearted to silly before becoming horrific. Still, core remains simple: You are going to be doing heroic things, delving into dungeons, rescuing the kidnapped or captured, investigating mysteries, and maybe even building up to saving... the WORLD!

Character creation

Creating your character

Starting at level 1, you will have access to dozens of ancestries and over two dozen classes. We will have a session 0 to talk about our ideas and concepts as we put them into the Foundry VTT server. If this is your first time playing Pathfinder 2e, I will have resources available to help you figure out your character!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For the start of play you will need: A microphone. A camera. (optional) A Discord account. For your characters, I would recommend looking at: https://2e.aonprd.com/ - The Pathfinder Reference site that is up to date with almost all of the content that exists for Pathfinder 2e Remastered. https://pathbuilder2e.com/ - A character manager to help build your character.

What Zach brings to the table

I will be providing a Discord server and a Foundry server, chock-full of maps, tokens, and music to immerse you in the adventure. I will also make your character's token, with unique borders to each part of the story.

Homebrew rules

Free Archetype: Starting with level 2 and going for every even level, you will receive a bonus feat that can be used to take an Archetype Dedication and its feats. The only caveat is that you must take at least two other feats in that Archetype before switching to another one if you would like to do so. Gradual Ability Boost: In this variant, a character gains ability boosts more gradually as they level up, rather than receiving four ability boosts at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th levels. Each character gains one ability boost when they reach each of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th levels. These are collectively a single set of ability boosts, so a character can’t boost the same ability score more than once per set; players can put a dot next to each boosted ability score or otherwise mark it to keep track. PCs also receive an ability boost at 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th level (a second set); at 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th level (a third set); and at 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th level (the fourth and final set). Ancestry Paragon: When creating an ancestry paragon character, instead of starting with one ancestry feat and gaining another at 5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th levels, the character starts with two ancestry feats and gains another at every odd level thereafter (3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and so on) for a total of 11 ancestry feats.

Safety

How Zach creates a safe table

Starting with a session 0, I will go over how I tend to run my games. I will give some time to talk about anything you would prefer that I stay away from, as no matter what, this is supposed to be fun, even if it becomes stressful at times. I will also have a private chat for each player, so if you would prefer to do it privately, you can.
