About the adventure
Welcome to Icewind Dale, a frozen land locked in eternal winter. The sun no longer rises, and the Ten-Towns struggle to survive beneath the endless night. In this survival horror campaign, you and your party will face brutal conditions, scarce resources, and dark forces lurking beneath the ice. Strange events, hidden secrets, and an ancient power tied to the Frostmaiden threaten everything in the region. Rime of the Frostmaiden offers a mix of open-world exploration, mystery, and danger, where your choices shape the story and determine who survives the harsh wilderness. This game is beginner-friendly, and I’m happy to guide new players through the rules and help with character creation. Expect a balance of roleplay, exploration, and challenging encounters in a cold and unforgiving environment. My goal is to create a consistent, immersive, and welcoming experience where players can fully engage with the world and enjoy a shared story together.

Hail and well met brave adventurers. I’m a story-focused Game Master who loves weaving immersive, character-driven adventures where player choices truly matter. My games blend roleplay, exploration, and combat, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and storytelling. At my table, everyone gets a chance to shine. Creating your character
If you're a new player, I'll help you throughout the entire process by building out a character. All characters will begin at level 1 using a Standard Array for Attributes, and may use official material from Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, & Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. If you'd like to use something from another official source, just ask first. Characters can be created using D&D Beyond or any character sheet you prefer. I can help with setup if needed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For this campaign, you'll need the following: - Discord account - A microphone or headset suitable for use on Discord (your phone can work for this if you have a quiet area to play) - A computer, laptop, tablet, or a combination of these capable of running both Discord and FoundryVTT simultaneously. - Webcams are optional We'll use Disord to talk during the sessions. Once you secure your spot in the game, you'll receive the link to join my server. We'll use FoundryVTT for our VTT. I understand that this is a new platform for many people. However, it's straightforward to use and runs easily on most computers. There's nothing to download for it, and I'll do an orientation to it during Session Zero. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions as you prepare for the session.
