About the adventure

A terrible curse has begun to spread across the world: anyone who has ever been resurrected is slowly wasting away, and even the most powerful magic can no longer raise the dead. The source of this “Death Curse” is rumored to lie deep within the jungles of Chult, a wild land filled with ancient ruins, deadly dinosaurs, and forgotten gods. Drawn by desperation, duty, or the promise of glory, a band of adventurers must brave the unforgiving wilderness to uncover the hidden tomb where the curse began—knowing that many have tried before, and none have returned. --- Please note this is a PLAY BY POST game! What is Play by Post? - Play-by-post (PbP) is a way of playing a tabletop role-playing game through written messages instead of live sessions. - Players and the GM post messages our Discord channel - Each post describes: what your character says, what they do, sometimes what they think or notice - Posts happen asynchronously - You don’t all need to be online at the same time How my Play by Post games work: - I will respond at least 1-2 times every 24 hours - Battlemaps will be provided on Roll20 - Combat is done in this order: players > monsters > players and so on (this is to keep the game moving) Why Play by Post? Play-by-post often: - has more descriptive prose - allows inner monologue and detail - feels closer to collaborative fiction - gives time to think before acting Great if you: - Have a busy schedule - Have social anxiety about voice chat - Love writing and character depth As always message me if you have any questions. I look forward to rolling with you at the table!

About me

Hi, I'm Lydia! As a child I'd always loved to role play, and when I realized we can still role play for fun as adults I jumped in and never looked back. I fell in love with D&D 5 years ago and have DMed for 2 years, and recently fell in love with Mothership. My goal is to have epic adventures together while making sure everyone has a great time.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be done on Dndbeyond before the first session - I'm here to provide any guidance. We will start at level 3. We will be using the 2024 rules. I will send a link to the campaign so you can create your character. Character Creation Rules (2024 Rules): - Level 3 - Use Standard Array or Point Buy, average HP - Use Encumbrance, Coin encumbrance - All other Character options (Class, Subclass, Background, Feats, Spells) from Player's Handbook 2024 Only good/neutral characters please.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need free Roll20, DnDBeyond and Discord accounts. A basic knowledge of D&D rules would be great but I am happy to help.

What Lydia K brings to the table

We will use Roll20 for our virtual tabletop - this includes battlemaps, world maps, character and NPC tokens, and ambient music.
