About the adventure

The campaign is going to be centered around the duality of the rich vs the poor. You start in the slums of the city, doing morally questionable quests so that you have the gold to survive. This is going to be a campaign where all the characters are evil but will be done in a proper, non-murder hobo way. This campaign is for only the most experienced players who know how to roleplay an evil character well as I want this to be an enjoyable experience for all players at the table.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will discuss character creation during a session zero, however, think about what you want your character's theme to be and we will aim for it from there.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to join a discord server and make sure your webcam and headphones/microphone works.

What Dan the DM Micallef brings to the table

I intend on using a full studio setup to bring real life a battlemap with miniatures and terrain (I have over 20,000 I have been collecting and hand painting)! I also utilize state of the art cameras that articulate and move around capturing every angle of the glorious battle! I will be able to help you build your character in session zero and will use AI art to help conceptualize your character as well. I also make custom backgrounds for all my scenes and animate them using Davinci Resolve 18. I use ambient music made I have had commissioned or royalty free music so if you wish to record and post it on your social media platforms, you won't breach any copyright laws. I do a lot of character voices to help make characters more personable and memorable. I have extensive random NPC generators, loot generators and other tools at my disposal that aid me in never being caught off guard! The rule of cool is a philosophy I embody whole heartedly, but always within reason. Challenges are meant to be overcome and we aim to do it in the coolest way possible!

Homebrew rules

I homebrew some magical items and often reward character specific abilities.

Safety

How Dan the DM Micallef creates a safe table

Session 0 will be a good opportunity for me to get to know my players and see what they like and dislike in a game. We will take a break halfway through for 15 minutes but if someone wants to talk to me privately, they can ask to have a secret discussion with me and I will bring them to a private channel in discord to talk about it. Additionally, if they feel uncomfortable after the session, they can always discuss this with me in a game. D&D tackles a lot of tough subjects and you can never really know what is going to upset anyone until after it has been done. The best we can do is learn together and improve from it.
