About me

I have enjoyed running play by post, in person and online rpgs in different systems, including Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition, Pathfinder 1e, Pathfinder 1e Spheres of Power, and Fate Accelerated. A lot of rpgs can expand into other areas, and I am happy to see players becoming friends with each other, doing artwork and expressing themselves through other creative outlets, and in some cases going on to be DMs themselves. The Daggerheart system looks incredibly enticing, so I am looking into running games of that.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters can be made on demiplane.com For any religious characters, the deities at https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/PathfinderWiki:Portal/Religion will be available.

The current party

I am in New Zealand (NZT timezone). 5 April 2026 at 3am New Zealand clocks go back 1 hour. 27 September 2026 at 2am New Zealand clocks go forward 1 hour. So depending on your time zone, the relative time of the game may change by up to 2 hours throughout the year. The time you see on Startplaying should be correct for your local time, I believe it automatically converts it.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A Discord account and a Roll20 account will be required. If you have a Demiplane account you can make your character on there.

What Raymond brings to the table

Rule of cool may apply, could come down to a roll of some kind to determine success.

Homebrew rules

Normal daggerheart rules will apply. Some homebrew rules may be in place to account for the kingdom building aspect. Might consider allowing some things from heartofdaggers.com That may be on a case by case basis. Equipment from the beast feast campaign frame is amusing, so will be allowed (in case anyone wants to wander around armed with a skillet). I will set up a channel in the Discord for which house rules I am using, at some stage.

Safety

How Raymond creates a safe table

Anyone can take a break at any time, just let people know if that is what you are doing. The initial session, referred to as session zero, will be used to discuss character ideas and the overall tone of the game, and to discuss what everyone is comfortable with.
