About the adventure
Dirty Attorneys of Doskvol is a play-by-post Blades in the Dark campaign. There will be no live session, instead you wil participate using the Storium platform, to portray morally gray lawyers and legal fixers navigating the corrupt courts of Charterhall. Your firm specializes in the tactics no one admits to using: forged documents, intimidated witnesses, bribed jurors, and flashback heists designed to reshape the trial before it ever begins. The story unfolds as a structured legal thriller/case. The courtroom is your battlefield, but the real work happens behind the scenes: breaking into records halls, negotiating with Spirit Wardens, manipulating dockside witnesses, and cutting deals with wealthy patrons who demand specific outcomes. We'll use the Doskvol setting, and various playbook abilities to collaboratively tell the story of a layered, high-stakes legal drama. This game is perfect for players who enjoy social intrigue, creativity and the high drama of a Victorian English courtroom. No prior experience with Blades in the Dark is required. Its premiere city will be the setting for the game. In Doskvol, the truth isn’t what happened. It’s what you can make the jury believe.

About me
I'm a storyteller, strategist, and gamer. I enjoy running narrative-driven campaigns that balance character-centered drama, and a good dash of chaos and humor. My tables are safe, inclusive spaces where collaboration and creativity thrive. I’ve GM’d across systems including Blades in the Dark, Chronicles of Darkness, and indie TTRPGs. I specialize in interesting twists, playing to lose, and making player choices matter. Outside the table, I’m a communications professional and narrative designer who loves helping people tell their own stories. If you’re looking for a GM who can blend storytelling, strategy, and heart, you’ve found her. Let’s roll some dice and make something unforgettable together.

Creating your character
This will be a gamified play-by-post, which we'll discuss in Storium's green room prior to the game beginning officially. The setting is based on Blades in the Dark, but character creation will done through pre-set series of cards containing character types from the setting, and strengths and weakness. There are premades available, or you can create your own character by making selections from among the cards. At least one of every character class will be available. Character creation will emphasize: Role in the legal crew Personal goals and vulnerabilities Ties to the case or Doskvol factions No system mastery required—this game focuses on narrative play, using Doskvol as the setting.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Create a free Storium account (https://storium.com/), and be willing to post 3-5 times per week. 2. Create a discord account (for out of game questions and collaboration) 3. Complete a lines-and-veils-survey.
What Bluebird brings to the table
A three-act story with 12-15 scenes. Equally opportunities for all players to write and feature their characters. Obstacles that you will need to overcome in every act. Engaging settings, drama, obstacles, NPCs and item cards. Fluid narration and transitions to connect all of your writing. Moderation and deescalation of conflict as needed. A narrative artifact of the tale once the game is completed.

How Bluebird creates a safe table
Everyone will be required to complete a Lines-and-Veils survey, and the anonymous results will be shared with the crew to keep triggers out of game. Players who include these triggers in their writing will be asked to edit what they're written in Storium to remove the triggers. If this happens more than once, that player will be removed from the game. As this will be asynchronous play-by-post, take breaks as needed.
