About the adventure
Hired by your friend, Gundren Rockseeker and his brothers, what starts as a simple escort caravan job (It's never just a simple escort job is it?) turns into an epic race to discover the truth about an ancient cavern, claim its riches, and protect it from everyone else with the same idea. This is the classic beginner friendly adventure that launched 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons! It takes place in the rough-and-tumble frontier town of Phandalin, a town built on a long-dead gold rush, where the last thrills of treasure hunting and chasing down old leads still attracts opportunity and danger. Why do I like running the Lost Mine of Phandelver? Its a classic introduction to D&D with a great balance of the three pillars: role playing, combat, and exploration. As new players you get to encounter an awesome range of classic D&D creatures and enemies. There's castles, ruins, caves to explore, and dungeons to dungeon-crawl through. There's captivating non-player characters to role play with, a great story hook, and a mysterious villain to uncover. Essentially everything you could ask for in your first game! At the end of this campaign you'll be ready to tackle higher-level adventures with a great grasp of the rules, roleplaying, and combat strategy. I run this game on Roll20 a free VTT (Virtual Table Top) for players, with all the bells and whistles. Players can expect the official campaign, beautiful maps and artwork, handouts (never take notes again!), premade characters to jump right in, and thematic music to set the tone.

About me
Beginner-friendly + Epic Adventures | D&D 5e with Creativity & Heart I specialize in creating welcoming, inclusive and beginner-friendly D&D tables that balance player freedom with strong story-telling immersion and pacing. Whether its your first campaign or you’re returning experienced player, my goal is to make sure everyone feels supported, engaged, and excited to play together. 2026: Welcome to the Year of the Drow! Every year I run a new theme, so returning players always get something fresh while beginners get a focused learning experience featuring classic enemies and memorable locations without becoming overwhelmed. This year is all about the infamous Spider Queen Lolth and the indoctrinated Drow that worship her. Cruel, power-hungry, and dangerously intelligent, Lolth's Drow are a force to be reckoned with. Each campaign will heavily feature classic drow villains, plots of dark intrigue, and intense combat all set in unforgettable locations in the Forgotten Realms. A little bit about me: Once I played my first Dungeons and Dragons game in 2014 with 5th ed. I knew there was no going back, I was hooked immediately. To me there is nothing more thrilling than watching a group of us wonderful misfits and mavericks team up to become epic heroes on an adventure we build together. I’ve been in love with fantasy and sci-fi since I can remember and have a deep abiding love for both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. In my down time you might find me listening to ridiculously loud music while knitting, saving the world as Commander Shepard or more recently Tav, watching a murder mystery, and if it’s the holidays I’ve probably already started a rewatch of either LOTR, Star Wars or both. Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0 using Roll20. Materials included in Roll20 for character creation are: 2014 D&D 5e Player’s Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, & Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. If you own other official D&D 5th ed. books (pre 2024) that you'd like to use for character creation we can make sure to add those to your game. All characters will begin at Level 1 using the standard stat array. Premade characters will be available for anyone who wants to jump in quickly or are brand new to D&D. If you’d like extra support, I’m also happy to meet before Session 0 to help you create your character or talk through concepts and options.

What Britt brings to the table
We'll be playing using the Roll20 adventure package. This means you can expect gorgeous maps, player handouts, character tokens and art. Music is included and individuals can set the volume to suit their needs. I provide a welcoming, story-driven D&D experience where everyone gets a chance to shine. My games focus on immersive role-playing, meaningful character moments, and cinematic combat. My GM style embraces the Rule of Cool when it enhances the narrative, while still respecting the rules to keep the game fair and consistent. I teach game mechanics as we play, making this a beginner-friendly table that also stays interesting for experienced players. Above all, I prioritize teamwork, clear communication, and a supportive table culture where creativity is encouraged and everyone feels comfortable taking part.
Homebrew rules
* Character progression uses milestone levelling. * Potions may be used as a bonus action. * Rule of Cool applied to naturally rolled 1's & 20's, players get to help determine what their successes and failures look like. Explained further in Session Zero.

How Britt creates a safe table
This is a LGBTQ+ welcoming table. Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. During Session Zero, we’ll review all of the safety tools chosen, with full resources available in our private Discord server. The player survey I send out also provides a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. Survey results are used to create the campaigns Lines and Veils. While the Lines and Veils document may be shared with players, all contributions remain anonymous. We use the X, N, & O card system, with digital options for no-camera sessions. Each session includes a 10-minute break halfway through, and aftercare or check-ins are used when intense moments arise. Stars and Wishes may be submitted privately after each session. Hate speech, racism, discrimination, or real-world threats have zero tolerance and result in immediate dismissal.
