About the adventure
Dive into the eerie, atmospheric world of Alice is Missing, a unique role-playing game where silence speaks louder than words. In this game, you'll step into the shoes of characters from a small town, searching for a missing friend, Alice Briarwood. We will all play as one of Alice's friends, each with a unique relationship to Alice and each other. All communication happens through text messages, and the mystery unfolds in real-time over 90 minutes. As you uncover secrets, send cryptic clues, and share personal stories, the tension builds. Will you find Alice before time runs out?

About me
I’ve been playing and running D&D and other TTRPGs for 20 years and I love playing with new and experienced players. I like building worlds where the players are front and center. I’m a “rule of cool” GM who’s always looking to empower players to shape and build the world with me. I mostly run 5E but I’m looking to get into Marvel Multiverse. Ive also run games like Inspectres, Fiasco and Shadowrun. I’m good to run one-shots or get into a long-running campaign.

Creating your character
Players will choose characters at the beginning of the game. I will play as Charlie Barnes. There are four characters for players to choose from: Dakota Travis, Alice's best friend, Jack Briarwood, Alice's older brother, Julia North, Alice's secret girlfriend and Evan Holwell, who has a crush on Alice. You will choose characters in the Discord and we will decide how they know Alice, their backstories and other complexities that make these character's interesting.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a Discord account and they will need to make an account at Pixel Table. I'll send out a link to do that. They will also need a microphone. About half an hour before the game begins, I'll send a link to the actual game. We will meet in Discord for about 45 minutes to an hour to discussion safety tools, learn how the game works and build the world. Then we will move into the actual game. This will talk place over 90 minutes. After the game, we will meet up again for a debrief.

How Dustin creates a safe table
Before the game, I will share a Lines and Veils document provided with the game. We will have a frank discussion about the themes of the game, its immersion and how that may affect some players. We will talk about how to use the X cards and how to initiate a break if a player needs one.
