About the adventure
For one reason or another, you've been traveling the world of Aurelium and find yourself at the gate of a vast city of Oldfort. What awaits you now is an unexpected adventure full of exploration, mystery, loss, and camaraderie. With this adventure comes a chance for you to become a hero of the people, a savior of what's dear to you, or a harbinger of change. This campaign is called The Broken Compass. It explores themes of searching for purpose and making a name for yourself on a path of exploration in a vast, custom, High Fantasy world, which I prepared for our game. Expect a mix of interesting puzzles, intrigue, unraveling mysteries, tactical combat, and deep social roleplay. The story is written by us at the table. I build my adventures around your backstories, meaning the enemies you face, the allies you make, and the mysteries you solve will be personal to your hero. Think critical role, high rollers, etc. Our journey starts with a complimentary free Session 0. This is our dedicated time to build your characters together. It’s a risk-free way for us to ensure the group chemistry is just right before the first session. We play using D&D 5e, but with a heavy emphasis on narrative freedom. I use Roll 20 and custom-made maps to bring the world to life, accompanied by curated audio. This game is perfect for anyone, from the complete beginner who needs help creating their first character to the veteran looking for a fresh, custom world. If you want to tell an epic story, laugh with new friends, and save the world, this is the table for you. This story works in chapters, the first lasting 7-9 sessions, with a satisfying story arc. At the end of this chapter, you can choose to continue your adventures, starting new chapters and expanding your story to epic proportions. This way, I've had tables last for years or months, and either way, we always finish with a satisfying resolution. This system gives you the option to play an epic long-term campaign, without obligating you to do so, if you decide the party you are in is not the right fit for you. Hello! I’ve been creating worlds for the last four years. My TTRPG journey began at 17 when I took on the mantle of Game Master to introduce my friends to the hobby. I fell in love with the role of the GM. Because I started by teaching others, I pride myself on being patient, clear, and ready to help players of all experience levels. I specialize in Dungeons & Dragons 5e, set within rich, expansive, custom, open worlds where your character's choices have real consequences. My table prioritizes immersion and roleplay. When it comes to the mechanics, if you have a creative idea that makes the scene more epic or emotional, I’m going to try to make it happen, even if the rules may disagree. We can always turn a cool moment into a consistent house rule later. I put a lot of time and effort into the production value of my games to give you a professional experience. Creating your character
Session 0, we will be creating our characters together. If you do not own the players handbook or any other resources for character cteations, don'tworry, I will provide it all. We will be starting at Level 1 and using the Standard Array or thePoint Buy system.
We are just starting our adventure, you can still join the game and have your character be part of the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a stable internet connection, a quiet environment, a decent microphone with headphones, and a Discord account for voice chat and campaign updates. We will be using roll 20 for the game and Watch2Gether for the ambience and music.
What Adrian brings to the table
I will provide a one-page summary of the world's current state and lore around which you can create your characters backstory, and I will provide all the pdf's you need. I provide a safe, inclusive space where your creative ideas are rewarded and your character’s backstory is woven directly into the plot of my homebrew world. You can expect a game filled with character voices, atmospheric music, and a balance of tactical combat and meaningful storytelling.

How Adrian creates a safe table
We will fill out a consent form on session 0, which will be respected throughout the whole campaign. I will be checking in with each player individually between sessions. At the end of each session, we will talk about what was great and what can be improved. X, N, and O cards can be messaged to me on Discord at any time.
