About the adventure
In this homebrew setting, you are members of a monster hunting guild sworn to defend the people of this world from thoughtless monsters determined to destroy and consume us all. This adventure will take on a more episodic adventures where the party will take on a new monster of the week and gain renown in your guild. More adventures then building on character interactions and backstories in order to make your actions have consequences in this world. The first adventure focusing in on you, being freshly faced recruits for the guild, being sent to the nearby Ardmore apple orchard to deal with their giant rat problem. The current planned adventures, not in order, are the following: Rats in the orchard Goblins, The Revenge Zombies at the Walls Night of the Wereshark Plague bearers Prisons within the Automatons Rain of Wyverns and so much more! I plan on having this adventure focus purely on the episodic adventures of the party as they deal with the problems of the people around them in a Star Trek TNG/Xena Warrior Princess style of storytelling. I also plan on making this adventure more available to new players to pathfinder 2e, so you don't have to feel like you need to know everything about the system or the universe of Golarian. If that sounds interesting to you send me a private message!

About me
I'm an American expat living in Costa Rica with my wife after meeting through a DnD game. I've been playing and running games of DnD since I was 12 years old and have been running and playing games consistently ever since. I've played through every system of DnD, Star Wars rpgs and have been getting into Pathfinder ever since 2nd edition came out. I'm also familiar with several other games such as VTM/Mage/most white wolf settings, Stars Without Number, and Call of Cthulhu. When it comes to Game Mastering I've become quite focused on both player agency, storytelling and roleplay while still trying to keep interesting combat encounters in order to keep things interesting. I tend to keep my games around 2-3 hours as I find that going for much longer leads to people running out of things to do, and it allows the drama of a scene reach its climax naturally without having to stay around for an extra hour just so we can get to "No, I am your father!"

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during a free session 0 with the other players, where the players will be able to interact and possibly build their backstories together if it works out. You will have access to archives of Nethys for any rules you might need, along with being able to send me a message before the game if you have any mechanics questions. Ancestry limits are only Common or Uncommon ancestries, if you do have an interesting idea for a Rare ancestry joining the monster hunting guild I wont stop you but I do suggest looking closer to Common and Uncommon. No limits on Classes or Backgrounds.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game will be played over discord for speech and on Foundry for rolling/maps/character creation. All I would require from you then would be a discord account to join the server, and a character concept in mind.
What Kieran brings to the table
As a GM I'll keep things focused primarily on story and character before combat, and have combat be something that is narratively satisfying and possibly puzzle solving. No random goblin hordes.

How Kieran creates a safe table
Will have a session 0 where everyone will be able to talk about any limits anyone has. If you are uncomfortable bringing it up to the group you can message me at any time. At the end of every session I also ask if anyone has any questions, comments or concerns in order to make sure everyone leaves satisfied.
