About the adventure

Rise of the Drow, AAW's best selling campaign, is the epic D&D experience you've been waiting for! A story of sacrifice, intrigue, and unforgettable combat; where players see their characters grow from helpful citizens to max level superheros, defending the realm from the catastrophic world-ending plots of the Drow. Your journey starts with saving a town from a deadly surprise invasion of overwhelming force, and a rescue mission to retrieve a stolen artifact preventing power from falling into world destroying hands. It's the perfect combination of adventures from your favourite franchises like Indianna Jones, Mission Impossible and the Avengers. To stop the Drow, classic D&D villains (evil elves), from committing unspeakable acts of evil in their grab for power and conquest, you'll be: * hunting down stolen relics * globe-trotting to exotic locations * breaking into and out of top secret lairs * spying and infiltrating political factions: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" * defending innocents and towns against invasions and waves of enemies * becoming legends: by the end of the campaign you'll be a team of max level superheroes who can reshape the Drow's homeworld, the Underdark and its denizens. Hold the fate of the world in the palm of your hands: Defeat the Drow, Rise from the Underdark, & Become Legends!

About me

Beginner-friendly + Epic Adventures | D&D 5e with Creativity & Heart I specialize in creating welcoming, inclusive and beginner-friendly D&D tables that balance player freedom with strong story-telling immersion and pacing. Whether its your first campaign or you’re returning experienced player, my goal is to make sure everyone feels supported, engaged, and excited to play together. 2026, the Year of the Drow! Every year I run a new theme, so returning players always get something fresh while beginners get a focused experience, learning classic enemies and settings without being overwhelmed. This season: face mysterious drow forces, legendary foes, and dark intrigue, with each story its own epic journey. Welcome to the Year of the Drow. A little bit about me: Once I played my first Dungeons and Dragons game in 2014 with 5th ed. I knew there was no going back, I was hooked immediately. To me there is nothing more thrilling than watching a group of us wonderful misfits and mavericks team up to become epic heroes on an adventure we build together. I’ve been in love with fantasy and sci-fi since I can remember and have a deep abiding love for both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. In my down time you might find me listening to ridiculously loud music while knitting, saving the world as Commander Shepard or more recently Tav, watching a murder mystery, and if it’s the holidays I’ve probably already started a rewatch of either LOTR, Star Wars or both. What Britt brings to the table

This adventure comes with the official Roll20 & AAW paid campaign. That means beautiful artwork, detailed maps, dynamic lighting, and handouts (less note-taking!). I also bring pre-generated characters, thematic music, and non-player characters that bring the world alive. As a GM, I provide a welcoming story-driven D&D experience where everyone gets a chance to shine. My games focus on immersive role-playing, meaningful character moments, and cinematic combat, with a tone that balances dark fantasy stakes and hopeful heroism. My GM style embraces the Rule of Cool when it enhances the narrative, while still respecting the rules to keep the game fair and consistent. I’m happy to teach mechanics as we play, making this a beginner-friendly table that also stays interesting for experienced players. Above all, I prioritize collaboration, clear communication, and a supportive table culture (LGBTQ+ friendly), where creativity is encouraged and everyone feels comfortable taking part.

Homebrew rules

* Character progression uses milestone levelling. * Potions may be used as a bonus action. * Rule of Cool applied to nat 1's & 20's, players get to help determine what their successes and failures look like. Explained further in Session Zero.

Safety

How Britt creates a safe table

Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. During Session Zero, we’ll review all of the safety tools chosen, with full resources available in our private Discord server. The player survey I send out also provides a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. Survey results are used to create the campaigns Lines and Veils. While the Lines and Veils document may be shared with players, all contributions remain anonymous. We use the X, N, & O card system, with digital options for no-camera sessions. Each session includes a 5-minute break, and aftercare or check-ins are used when intense moments arise. Stars and Wishes may be submitted privately after each session. Harmful behaviour is not tolerated. Players who refuse to stop harmful behaviour will be removed from the session; a second offence results in removal from the campaign. Hate speech, racism, discrimination, or real-world threats have zero tolerance and result in immediate dismissal.
