About the adventure

Rise of the Drow, AAW's best selling campaign, is the epic D&D experience you've been waiting for! It's a story of sacrifice, intrigue, and unforgettable combat where players see their characters grow to max-level while defending the realm from the catastrophic world-ending plots of D&D's all-time classic villains, the Drow. Your journey starts with saving a town from a deadly surprise invasion of overwhelming force. At the heart of this invasion: an ancient religious artifact and a plot to enslave the world. To stop the Drow from committing unspeakable acts of evil in their grab for power and conquest, you'll be: * hunting down stolen relics * executing daring rescue missions saving whole villages and towns from imprisonment * globe-trotting to exotic locations * planning epic heists to break into top-secret enemy lairs * spying and infiltrating on political factions: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" * becoming legends: by the end of this campaign you'll be a team of max level superheroes who can reshape the Drow's homeworld, the Underdark and its denizens into a vision of your choosing . This campaign is for serious players looking to find an experience that takes their character from humble origins at level one and turns them into max-level (20) legendary heroes whose deeds will become known throughout the realm. The campaign will take a commitment from players of about a year to complete, creating a memorable journey forged in tears, laughter, and critical rolls. Hold the fate of the world in the palm of your hands: Defeat the Drow, Rise from the Underdark, & Become Legends!

About me

Beginner-friendly + Epic Adventures | D&D 5e with Creativity & Heart I specialize in creating welcoming, inclusive and beginner-friendly D&D tables that balance player freedom with strong story-telling immersion and pacing. Whether its your first campaign or you’re returning experienced player, my goal is to make sure everyone feels supported, engaged, and excited to play together. 2026: Welcome to the Year of the Drow! Every year I run a new theme, so returning players always get something fresh while beginners get a focused learning experience featuring classic enemies and memorable locations without becoming overwhelmed. This year is all about the infamous Spider Queen Lolth and the indoctrinated Drow that worship her. Cruel, power-hungry, and dangerously intelligent, Lolth's Drow are a force to be reckoned with. Each campaign will heavily feature classic drow villains, plots of dark intrigue, and intense combat all set in unforgettable locations in the Forgotten Realms. A little bit about me: Once I played my first Dungeons and Dragons game in 2014 with 5th ed. I knew there was no going back, I was hooked immediately. To me there is nothing more thrilling than watching a group of us wonderful misfits and mavericks team up to become epic heroes on an adventure we build together. I’ve been in love with fantasy and sci-fi since I can remember and have a deep abiding love for both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. In my down time you might find me listening to ridiculously loud music while knitting, saving the world as Commander Shepard or more recently Tav, watching a murder mystery, and if it’s the holidays I’ve probably already started a rewatch of either LOTR, Star Wars or both. Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place during Session Zero in Roll20 using D&D 5e 2014 class options. Materials included: 2014 Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, & Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. Player's are also welcome to use any official paid 5e D&D publications for character creation that uses 2014 rules. This is a rewarding, yet challenging campaign. It is strongly recommended that players use the standard stat array or point buy for creating level 1 characters.

What Britt brings to the table

This adventure comes with the official Roll20 & AAW paid campaign. That means beautiful artwork, detailed maps, dynamic lighting, and handouts (less note-taking!). I also bring premade characters, thematic music, and non-player characters that bring the world alive. As a GM, I provide a welcoming story-driven D&D experience where everyone gets a chance to shine. My games focus on immersive role-playing, meaningful character moments, and cinematic combat. My GM style embraces the Rule of Cool when it enhances the narrative, mainly on naturally rolled 1's and 20's, while still respecting the rules to keep the game fair and consistent. Above all, I prioritize teamwork, clear communication, and a supportive table culture (LGBTQ+ friendly), where creativity is encouraged and everyone feels comfortable taking part.

Homebrew rules

* Character progression uses milestone levelling, using AAW's guide * Potions may be used as a bonus action. * Rule of Cool applied to nat 1's & 20's, players get to help determine what their successes and failures look like. Explained further in Session Zero.

Safety

How Britt creates a safe table

This is a welcoming and LGBTQ+ friendly space. Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. During Session Zero, we’ll review in depth all of the safety tools chosen, with full resources available in our private Discord server for the entirety of the campaign. The player survey I send out also provides a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. Survey results are used to create the campaigns 'Lines and Veils'. While the Lines and Veils document may be shared with players, all contributions remain anonymous. We use the X, N, & O card system, with digital options for no-camera sessions. Each session includes a 10-minute break halfway through, and aftercare or check-ins are used when intense moments arise. Stars and Wishes may be submitted privately after each session. Harmful behaviour is not tolerated. Players who refuse to stop harmful behaviour will be removed from the session; a second offence results in removal from the campaign. T.R.A.S.H. (transphobic, racist, abelist, sexist, homophobic) language and behaviours have zero tolerance and result in immediate dismissal.
