About the adventure
This game is for NEW PLAYERS to the World of Darkness specifically, Vampire the Masquerade. I love the WoD setting and VTM. I want to use this as an opportunity to introduce players to this world, along with my version of Atlanta, GA in that world. You will play a brand-new Vampire. (A Fledgling in-world terms) With something like at most 3-5 years since you were turned into this new "un-life". You will be put together with other new Vampires as a Party (Coterie is the in-world term), given territory (Domain) that you will be in charge of keeping safe, cleaning up, and generally managing your little slice of the city. Your feeding grounds. An older vampire STC (NPC) will guide you along and give direction for what to do so you can be good new vampires, learning about the world you are now a part of. Each player's background will be open save one connective point. The one who changed you into a vampire, whoever they were to you. They are now dead. Taken in the same tragedy as several other. Vampire the Masquerade is a game of personal and political horror. You will have to deal with your new place in your un-life. Dealing with any human connections, and the machinations of older vampires who may want to use your naivety against you and others. I will walk you through the entire character creation process during session 0, which is free. Which may take two session 0s. Both will be free in that case. I will help you figure out what Clans (These are the types of vampires or "Classes" in traditional TTRPG.) Along with any rules as written and my own house rules. (They are all very simple). Everything will be covered and the really easy part is. It's all in the core rulebook which I will provide in PDF format. So, if your curios about Vampire: The Masquerade. Or World of Darkness in general and you want to dip your fangs in? I would highly recommend signing up for this game. Let's tell a story. A Vampire Story!

About me
Hello! My name is Agito. I've been running and playing TTRPG for a little over a decade. I've run a lot of systems, including D&D, Cyberpunk, BESM, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and Vampire: Masquerade. To say I've been around the block of TTRPG is an understatement. I love it. I'm a forever DM/GM by choice honestly. I enjoy building a rich world and story. (I have many homebrew Worlds) While then incorporating whatever characters my players want to play deep within that world and story. (Many of my PCs have gone onto become NPC of important within these worlds for the next game.) I want to do this because I Love it. If I can make a little money while doing it that would be awesome. Other things to know about me is I run "difficult" Campaigns. I will teach you how to build better characters if needed to better match the role-play you are trying to achieve. Number crunchers welcome. Heavy RPs welcome. All player types really. I want the party/group to be cohesive at the best times and a mess at the worst. Stories from the table to reach the ears of others as fun, wild, sad, or crazy moments. These are the things I hope to give you at my table. Things I was given when a relatively shy guy from Cali moved to the south and met his own group of devil worshipers (read: D&D Players). A good time, some laughs, some heartache, but a DAMN good story. I'm Agito. Nice to meet you.

Creating your character
I will walk you through the entire character creation process during session 0, which is free. Which may take two session 0s. Both will be free in that case. I will help you figure out what Clans (These are the types of vampires or "Classes" in traditional TTRPG.) Along with any rules as written and my own house rules. (They are all very simple). Everything will be covered and the really easy part is. It's all in the core rulebook which I will provide in PDF format.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Obviously, you will need a Startplaying Games account. You will need a Discord Account and Join the Discord Server. For which I will provide a link. You will also need a Roll20 Account. It's the site I am most familiar with. A Microphone will obviously be required. I will be using a web camera as well. I want you to be able to see my expressions for NPCs and any gestures. I would encourage you if you're comfortable to also have a web camera. For the same reasons. Being able to see each other and interact this way is important for all sorts of things. Again, not a requirement just encouraged.
What Ægito brings to the table
For the game itself. During sessions 0 which again could be two sessions all together. Both Free. I will sit down with all of you over Discord, I will provide a link/invite to the Roll20 game. We will of course introduce, talk with each other a bit both then and before I imagine but the first thing I will go over is Safety. Our Lines/Veils. Along with explaining my own stance on things. (see Safety section for more details now) I want to provide a good environment where nobody is afraid to play something they really want to explore. In a world of Vampire. Once that is established. I will have MANY handouts available on Roll20, with pictures and descriptions of all the Important SPC of the setting of Atlanta. Each will have information about them that is common knowledge, along with rumors about them that you may find interesting. There will also be places of interest and rumors around those. Some of it might be a bit overwhelming at first but it's not TEST so you are not expected in any way to remember or know anything. Especially as this is a NEW PLAYER GAME. Once we get a few sessions in, we will also decide the (Things not on the Lines/Veils) which are usually things the group wants to have to deal with but as a consequence not a goal. i.e: We wish to Guard our mutual home at all costs. Meaning I have to put said home in danger, so you risk breaking that tenant and gaining stains on your humanity. Or upholding it for reward. With the above in mind. Ideas for your actual characters should start to form or shifts in the idea you already have should become obvious and we will start creating characters. Clans, Generation, etc. We will create a relationship map, which is all the connections between your characters, each other, and the important people in each of their lives. With that said I have a story in mind that I want to tell. All characters, whatever you come up with all be in some way shape or form connected to this story. After reading the game prompt and my explanation I'm sure it will be obvious. My games are not on rails, but they are not empty open worlds either. Every SPC or Former PC (There are a few of them that exist) is a character. With desires, wants, needs, etc. Your Touchstones + Convictions (People/Things important to your Vampire) will be characters with want's needs and desires. I will play them all to the best I can. I am a Rule of Cool, I'm not afraid to tell you No. I'm also not afraid to tell you Yes. I'm also a big proponent of "are you sure?" I also have a very firm rule of "Everybody Gets One" Meaning if your character was to die. One time. They will not. I will move heaven and earth to come with some excuse as to why your character yet lives. All be it with some form of complication. But its only once. My combat is intense and tactical. Physical or Political.
Homebrew rules
I do have several Homebrew rules but rather than overwhelm you with all of them here. I will explain each one during character creation as they are relevant. I will teach you the rules as written way first, then the homebrew stuff.

How Ægito creates a safe table
I will first, right here. Refer you to the very first page in the Vampire: The Masquerade core rulebook. It has a mature content warning on it that says it all best. I will quote the end but expect you to read the whole thing. "This is a game about monsters. But it is only a game. Don’t use it as an excuse to be a monster yourself." With that said. I will be using a firm. Lines and Veils setup. There will be an open post on both Roll20 and in the discord. This will be the VERY first thing the group goes over together before any character creation. I would also like to take this moment to remind people. That all books are available. This includes "Blood Stained Love" which deals with romantic, obsessive, abusive, and sexual elements of VTM. I'm all for it if you are. This includes "Tattered Facade" which deals with more horrific elements of VTM. Like body horror and classic horror elements. Again, all in, if you are. Really UNDERSTAND What VTM is before you join, please. It's a game of Personal Horror. (... and Political Action!) I HAVE no lines or veils. Let me say that again. I have NO Lines or Veils myself. I am comfortable with all levels of Role-Play. I've been doing this a long time. This means that almost anything could show up in my game. So, when you sign up. Be sure you have in your mind WHAT YOUR LINES AND VEILS ARE. Then properly inform me so I can be sure Myself and others in the group do not cross them. These will all be put in above mentioned places as a reminder. Again. I believe we are all adults. We have fun exploring the dark themes or our reality with a supernatural spin. Its for fun though. Not to hurt or to harm but too explore our imagination. Never do something with the intent to harm. Remember that and we will be safe. With any intense session I will provide as much Aftercare as I can. On a Personal Note: Aftercare or Otherwise In the case where something comes up. Maybe its a little to close to home because you thought you would be fine. Maybe you're wanting to deal with some trauma through Role-Play. That's fine but be aware of yourself. I will do my best, but I am not perfect. If at any time things are not okay. You can say it or message me. My DMs will always be open to all my players. Even if it's just to talk about some difficulties you're having. I'm here. I worked as an in-homecare giver for the sick, elderly, veterans, etc. and Security at a University. I know it can be hard to just talk but do it. Seek help. Your never alone. (Unless you need to be of course. :])
