About the adventure

A weekly campaign evocative of Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas. Pathfinder 2e provides the baseline rules of the experience while homebrew rules are included for the use of modern weapons, chems, power armor, and more. Players will embark on a journey through a slightly different Mojave from the one they may know. In this world, the courier succumbed to their wounds and died before they could begin their adventure. Find your fortune in New Vegas. Become a kingpin among high rollers or a hero of the people? Bring stability to the wasteland or wipe the slate clean? The choice is yours.

Character creation

Creating your character

Finer points of character creation will be discussed in Session Zero, but these are the highlights in case people want to get a head start: - Level 2 - [Uncommon] feats and features are acceptable but [Rare] ones will require special approval. - Free Archetype - Proficiency without Level - Automatic Bonus Progression (except skill bonuses) - Characters do not start with normal equipment, and will instead gain an equipment bundle at Session Zero. - New Versatile Heritage: Ghoul (rules included with Session Zero)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Access to Roll20 and Discord is all that is required of players.

What Cobalt brings to the table

Players will experience ambient music tracks and exciting combat encounters. Especially since this utilizes homebrew rules, Rule of Cool is in effect.

Homebrew rules

- 1 Hero Point per session - Comprehensive spreadsheet of Fallout weaponry tailored to Pathfinder 2e. - Critical Hits result in crippled limbs for the target - Available Player ancestries: Human, Ghoul, Super Mutant/Nightkin, Automaton, Fleshwarp, and Cyber Animal. - All characters begin with English as a language (if they lack the ability to speak, they can understand it), but they cannot read/write automatically. "Literacy" is now a level 0 Skill Feat that can be taken. - Revamped crafting rules allow for fast and fun item creation - Bottle Caps = Silver Pieces. If an item has a value between 5 and 9 Copper Pieces, it has a value of 1 Bottle Cap. If an item has a value between 0 and 4 Copper Pieces, it has a value of 0 Bottle Caps (such low cost items will usually be bundled to cost at least 1 Cap). - More material will be covered in Session Zero pertaining to Lore skills, Reputation, Chems/Addiction, Skill Books, wilderness survival, and more.

Safety

How Cobalt creates a safe table

If there is anything that players would feel uncomfortable being featured in the campaign, they're welcome to send me a private message and I will take care of it. Session Zero will discuss the finer points of expectations and themes, as well as safety measures and offering suggestions to the GM.
