About the adventure

All players are welcome! The Discworld TTRPG is incredibly simple to play and I will go over the basics of the game at the start of the adventure. So don't stress too much, because the rules barely matter anyways! HERE'S THE PART WHERE I PITCH THE GAME Squatting on the dark loam of the Sto Plains, surrounded by cabbage fields as far as the eye can see and bisected by the River Ankh, which can only be called a river because it moves slightly faster than the surrounding land, this ancient city has stood for thousands of years. Ankh-Morpork is now your home, and as a (proud?) member of The Watch, you are looked up to as a model of sovereignty and goodness in a city where the Thieves' Guild is not only recognized as a legitimate business within the city, but is backed and taxed by the Lord Patrician Vetinari because "If there's going to be crime in the Ankh, then it may as well be organized crime". But there's no time to dawdle or contemplate your role in all of this nonsense because you've got work to do! You’ve been ordered to head to the Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons to investigate a break in. Your orders were given to you personally by the Commander of the City Watch himself, Sir Samuel Vimes. You remember his words well. He was particularly clear that all three points were equally important. 1. Find out what happened. 2. Protect the people of Ankh-Morpork. 3. Don’t cause more paperwork than necessary. In this thrilling and equally silly mystery adventure, you will need more than just your wits to answer the most important question: Whodunnit? No session of Adventures in Ankh-Morpork, or Discworld book for that matter, would be complete without at least a few punes, or plays on words. Be prepared to twist, wrangle and torment the English language to serve your needs, or just to make people chuckle. I, as the GM, will reward Luck Points to players who can make the table collectively laugh or sigh together. That's right! Your bad jokes are actually mechanically beneficial!

About me

I'm ready to roll some dice, so let's get a party together and make a collaborative story! I'm Keenan Bothma, I've been DMing for the past 10 years and I absolutely love game design, creative writing and nerds doing nerd stuff. It all started as a teen, hopelessly obsessed with D&D, begging friends to play with me. Of course, no one else would take up the mantle of DMing, so I gave it a try and discovered a lifelong hobby along the way.
