About me

My introduction to 5th Edition D&D was at my local game store that hosted Adventures League. After going a few weeks and being hooked they desperately needed more Game Masters to be able to allow everyone who showed up a chance to play. I agreed to give it a try despite only having played for a few weeks. I was instantly addicted. Fast forward to 2019 and I found myself working part time for a board game restaurant helping people learn to play board games. I was able to convince them to let me host D&D sessions. Finally, my dream of being paid to play D&D came true! Enter the pandemic and the shutdown. Now more than ever it seemed there was a demand online for Game Masters. This is when I began running paid games on Roll20. I also began to branch out more to other games besides D&D. Thus began my career of hosting games online.

Creating your character

For this one shot we will be using pre-made characters.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will use discord for voice, and FoundryVTT for the game. We will spend a little time going over the pf2e system, the characters, and the FoundryVTT interface at the beginning of the game. If you wish to fill out a RPG consent Checklist please ask me for the link.

What DM Joester brings to the table

I will provide a link to the FoundryVTT server, an invite to the discord voice channel before game time.

Safety

How DM Joester creates a safe table

For this one shot, we will use a module version of the X cards allowing players to anonymously indicate when a player wishes to pause play, skip through a scene, go back and redo a scene, and a stop play immediately. In addition I will have an optional form to fill out for the "RPG Consent Checklist" that appears in the Consent in Gaming supplement by Sean K. Reynolds and Shanna Germain, published by Monte Cook Games.
