About the adventure
The city has been quiet for weeks. Too quiet. Uniformed agents have arrived “to maintain order.” Names are being written down. People are being taken. Doors are closing. Someone you care about is on a list. And tonight, the city decides whether it will endure in silence… or stand together and be heard. _______________________________________________________________________ This game takes place in a fictional city. What happens there is not fiction. This one-shot is an allegory inspired by the real and ongoing violence carried out against immigrants and communities in the United States, particularly through the actions of ICE and systems that criminalize existence, separate families, and erase people through bureaucracy rather than justice. In this story, you will play people who live in a city under siege, not by monsters, but by policy. By uniforms. By laws enforced without compassion. You are not here to conquer. You are here to protect, witness, and refuse erasure. _______________________________________________________________________ What This Game Is About Standing between power and the vulnerable Community, solidarity, and collective resistance The emotional cost of state violence Hope that grows when people refuse to disappear Violence is not glorified in this story. When it occurs, it has weight, consequence, and human cost. Victory does not come from destroying enemies. It comes from exposing injustice, preserving dignity, and empowering others to stand with you. _______________________________________________________________________ Why We’re Playing This This session is being run as a charity game to raise money for the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund, hosted by the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. That fund supports real people facing detention, deportation, family separation, and legal crises right now. Your presence at this table matters. Your generosity beyond it matters even more. _______________________________________________________________________ Player Agreement By sitting down to play, you understand that: - This game will engage with serious, emotional themes - We will treat those themes and each other with care - We are telling a story with impacted communities in mind, not over them If at any point you need to step away, pause, or recalibrate, that will be respected.

About me
Welcome Adventurers! I have been playing and running TTRPG for 20 years. I try to make my games as immersive as possible by using a massive collection of ambient music, character voicing, and even some cosplay nights! I love learning new systems and games so nothing is off the table! If you have some obscure or niche game that you would like to play I am always down to try it out. I have run very complex games like EXALTED to very simple games like Goblin Quest and my preferred style is somewhere in the middle with a heavy focus on narrative and fun at the table.

What Jonny | Badger Den Games brings to the table
All the books and materials you will need! I enjoy using different voices to denote a variety of caricatures and making use of ambient sounds and music to help set the tone for the session. I don't expect players to use different character voices (but your welcome to) and the volume of background music/ambiance can be adjusted by the player to fit their comfort level. I am definitely a Rule of Cool GM but the rules are there for a reason and I will generally stay within reasonable bounds of them.

How Jonny | Badger Den Games creates a safe table
This game engages with heavy, real-world–inspired themes: state violence, fear, and harm to communities. Your emotional safety matters more than the story. To support that, we’ll be using the X, N & O system throughout the session. You can use these tools at any time, for any reason, without explanation. X — Stop Use X if something in the game is uncomfortable, distressing, or crosses a personal boundary. - The scene stops immediately - No justification is required - We will rewind, reframe, or move on There will be no discussion unless you want one N — Navigate Use N if you’re okay continuing, but want to change how we do so. Examples: - “Let’s fade to black” - “Can we skip details here?” - “Can we shift focus away from this character?” The story continues, just on safer ground. O — Okay / Check-In Use O to signal: - You’re okay with what’s happening - You’re checking in on someone else - You want to confirm consent before continuing The GM may also use O to pause briefly and check the table. _______________________________________________________________________ How to Use It Digitally - Type X, N, or O in chat - Say it out loud - Use a private message to the GM - Use a digital card on roll20 All methods are equally valid. _______________________________________________________________________ This game is about solidarity at the table as much as in the story. If at any point you need to step away, pause, or disengage, that’s okay. We’re here to tell a meaningful story together, and that means taking care of each other first.
