About the adventure
All profit will be doubled and go towards the Rapid-Response immigration charity. You are approached by Jigorlo Montreugnant, a wealthy man from a powerful and well-known family. He introduces himself as a bard of great renown, though you have never once heard him play an instrument. He is, above all else, a smooth talker: one who has convinced you to join his crew for an absurdly generous sum. He clearly has a very loose understanding of his gold's value. Jigorlo promises you an unforgettable cruise filled with banquets, music and games ! He assures you that the crossing will be made in style. As you step aboard his brand-new ship, you can’t deny that part is true. The vessel is extravagantly decorated: marble statues line the deck, velvet curtains adorn his private cabin, and the planks gleam from a recent waxing. All he asks in return is that you escort him and lend him your talents for the duration of the voyage. You can tell at first glance that he is an incompetent idiot, and for some reason, he finds you interesting. ... It is meant to be an introduction to my homebrew world called Eldertide. The loosely scripted campaign with different endings is expected to last about two months aboard Jigorlo's ship, the Splendissime. If they survive, the players will have the opportunity of keeping their characters and continuing their adventure anywhere in the world afterwards, exploring any of the many different cities that each come with their unique culture, political climate and problems. Players must be 18+. Content warnings may be exaggerated, but there may be unsavory characters and events. I also like portraying light-hearted and fun characters, but keep in mind it is a gritty fantasy world that aims to put players in situations of moral ambiguity.

About me
I'm an extremely motivated new GM that have been looking to run a campaign in a world of my own creation that has been brewing for a few years now. I have been inspired by many different RPGs, video games, books and series. If it has swords or magic, I probably know about it. Love philosophy and adrenaline. Storytelling is the perfect medium to mix the two. Amateur painter, biker, traveler. Daggerheart is an amazing system that allows a lot of freedom to the players and a coherent story well-suited to Play-by-Post pacing. Their 11 domains that make up the classes fit extremely well with my pantheon of 11 Gods. Since I discovered it, video games lost their flavor. I'm hungry for roleplaying opportunities ! I participated in a few games in and out of this website, and believe I have a clear idea of what players expect from a GM and I feel like I can live up to the task. I will only ever have a single running game at a time, and post at least once a day. Multiple times, if players can keep up with my insane level of engagement ! I think roleplaying is more than just a game. It's a social platform where cooperation is key to create interesting stories and develop friendship. Which is why the amount i will charge is symbolic and I don't feel insecure about AI. I will use it for NPC portraits and nothing else. Being an entrepreneur in the printing business; Murals, 3D prints, graphic design, etc... I already have clients paying full price for my expertise. But I'm also in a unique position to give back to the players.

Creating your character
Characters will be created beforehand in Demiplane. All content from Daggerheart is available, void included ! Feel free to ask for help if you are new with the process, I'm happy to help. In session 0, players will describe the moment they have been recruited by Jigorlo Montreugnant and get to know each other after boarding his ship. They are free to expand as much or as little as they want on their backstory.

What Maximush brings to the table
I am a VERY ACTIVE GM and will be posting everyday, often multiple times. I am looking for players to match that same level of engagement, because the story will progress everyday. Please give me a heads up if you can't post for a while ! I create my own city maps in Canvas of Kings and quickly make high-quality battle encounter maps for any situation with Dungeon Alchemist. You can expect AI-generated visual aids and NPC portraits. AI will not be used for anything else. Upon completion of the campaign, players can expect to receive a 3D mini of their characters that I will print and paint myself.
Homebrew rules
My homebrew world is governed by 11 gods, each one associated with a domain from Daggerheart. Depending on their actions, the players will receive dreams from some of these gods. Anything their character do is sure to displease a god, and please another. They may receive secret tasks and even be rewarded with power that can even go outside of their original domains, allowing them to create unique classes or empowering the spells they already have.

How Maximush creates a safe table
Each players will have their private channel in which they will receive personnalized dreams and lore, track their resources if they wish but also talk to me whenever they want. It will serve as a safe space in which to approach triggers and themes you'd like to avoid. Players are always free to share when they don't feel comfortable with the way the story is going. I can be discreet and diplomatic or direct when it is needed. I think communication is key to have an enjoyable cooperative storytelling experience. Keep in mind that even if PvP is allowed, nothing will be forced upon your character without having a fair chance to react. Even if I encourage morally flawed characters, players must always be respectful with each other out of character. We are all here to have fun. Some people like to immerse themselves completely into their characters, and some are shy about roleplay. The essential is that no one should be made to feel anxious, unsafe or unhappy. We should always aim to uplift each other and respect each other's differences.
