About the adventure
Centuries ago, upon a vast, beautiful, and wondrous world, a horde of vile beings known as the Yoten destroyed the heroic Vanir. The survivors fled to a new world, Grimnir. Vast and inhospitable, many died in the early years. Yet, it was a place to rebuild. Generations pass but the memory of the old world's death is never forgotten. Their descendants, the raiders, are ever vigilant and watch for the Yoten's return. You are one such hero destined by fate to bear witness to Grimnir's destruction - and perhaps fated to finally break your people free of the cycle of destruction and rebirth known as Ragnarök.

About me
Hey everyone! My name is Kim, I've been playing D&D and DMing campaigns for almost 7 years. I love to work together with my players to create a story for the ages! I highly value Roleplaying in my games and tend to really weave the characters into the narrative: You are part of the world we're playing in! I can't host enough D&D sessions, but sadly my friends tend to somehow have a life and I am thus in need of new players! Are you the player I am looking for? Creating your character
Each player can come up with a general character concept on which I tie an epic path which I think comes closest. I do this to keep the epic paths (which will be major in your backstory) secret from the other players. During session 0 we will create your character sheet and this is where you can discuss classes and races with each other. The available (new) races, and (sub)classes will be provided within the character creation section on discord. Your starting level will be 1 and we will be using the 2024 ruleset. We are going to use milestone leveling.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You require a reliable internet connection to use Foundry (run through Forge) and Discord. Have a good quality mic available. The use of a webcam isn't mandatory, the DM however will use a webcam for better RP.
What Kim brings to the table
We will be using Foundry VTT, complete with maps, music, custom tokens, spell animations, and more! New and unique races, subclasses and spells are provided from the sourcebook. There will be a community server on Discord where you can meet other players from my games and where additional information will be provided. The sessions are also held within discord. I primarily focus on RP and really hone in on the characters and their backstories. You will all receive an epic path which helps place your character in the setting and story. I use a whisper channel on discord for secret conversations/dreams/nightmares/etc for the players during the session. I also like to challenge my players in difficult tactical combat. All in all, my mission is to provide you all with a fun, challenging and engaging story full with hard moral choices.
Homebrew rules
• Flanking provides a +2 on your attack roll instead of advantage. • Crit rules: max + die roll (you will always do more damage, even when rolling a 1) • To offset the massive crit, healing potions will heal the maximum amount. • Bonus action to drink a health potion, Action to feed it to someone else. • You can’t move through enemy space and moving through friendly space is difficult terrain. • Material components need to be in your inventory when they have a gold cost (for example, a pearl worth 100gp for identify) or when it needs to be consumed within a certain time (blood from a humanoid who died within the past 24 hours) -> Yes, demon summoning spells need this, don’t ask me 😆 • Lingering injury using Maxwell's Manual of Malicious Maladies.

How Kim creates a safe table
Session 0 will be FREE! Everyone will receive a copy of the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist after joining the game. During session 0 we will discuss expectations of the game and set a boundary list. We will also create and fill your character sheet on Foundry and go over the rules. Within Foundry X, N, and O card are available throughout play.
