About the adventure
You don’t need to be a scholar of the Cosmere to become a legend. In this campaign, we’re putting the action front and center. Roshar is a world of breathtaking landscapes, gravity-defying powers, and ancient mysteries—but more importantly, it is a world that you will help shape. Whether you're a wandering sellsword or a budding Knight Radiant, your journey begins now. We’re moving past the "dark and gritty" to embrace the high-fantasy heroics. Expect epic battles, cinematic maneuvers, and a story where your creative ideas are the primary fuel for the engine. Why You Should Play at This Table - Action-First Gameplay: We focus on the thrill of the moment. I prioritize fast-paced combat and spectacular uses of your abilities over deep-dives into history books. - Creative Freedom: Love a "Rule of Cool" GM? You’ve found one. I thrive on player ingenuity. If you have a wild idea for how to use your powers or want to help invent a local custom or NPC, I’m here to say "Yes, and..." - No Homework Required: Never read The Stormlight Archive? No problem! I’ll teach you the basics of the world and the magic (Surgebinding) as we go. This is a "learn-as-you-play" friendly environment. - Premium Foundry VTT Experience: Experience Roshar in style. I use official Cosmere RPG assets, high-quality automated maps, and immersive ambient music to bring your battles to life. What’s Included? - Levels 1–7: A complete character arc from humble beginnings to powerful mastery. - Collaborative World-Building: We aren't just following a script; we’re telling your story. - Beginner Friendly: Full support for players new to the Cosmere RPG or TTRPGs in general.

About me
Greetings adventurers! I love running games that put YOU at the center of the plot and attention. In my worlds, it's the players who are more in the driver's seats, and you always have an impact on the story. I've been running games for 20 years and want to share my experiences with as many people as possible! My favorite systems are Fate, Pathfinder 2E, Sentinel Comics RPG, and Blades in the Dark. If you want player-driven action, with a GM who is always cheering you on, then you've found the right person.

Creating your character
Character creation is such a key part of gameplay and I see it as defining the feel of our story from the beginning. I will host a collaborative Session 0 to forge a party that feels like a real team from the very first roll. I ask that every player come to our first meeting with 2 or 3 rough concepts. No need to look into stats yet, just come with vibes or goals in mind. Don't know what kind of concepts to bring? No problem! I love helping you come up with ways you can fit your favorite tropes and the kind of characters you want to play into the world and story we'll build together. Once we see everyone’s ideas, we’ll pick the ones that fit best and decide how you already know each other. Are you survivors of the same skirmish? Childhood friends from a small village? Or perhaps you’re all bound by a common debt? We’ll weave your backstories together so you start the game with allies you can trust. You don't need to be an expert on the rules. We will use Foundry VTT and the official Cosmere character tools to handle the math. Your job is to bring the personality; I’ll handle the "how-to" of the character sheet.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
What to Bring to Session 0: - A Heroic Spark: Since this is a high-fantasy, hopeful game, think about what makes your character a hero. What do they fight for? - A "Yes, And" Attitude: Be ready to listen to other players' ideas and find ways to connect your story to theirs. - A Computer & Mic: We'll be using Foundry VTT (free for you!) and Discord for voice. You'll be joining my
What David Silberstein brings to the table
I'm bringing a fully-stocked Foundry VTT with modules that make gameplay simpler and easier for you. I will play appropriate ambient music, and provide official tokens and maps for any situation. This will be my first campaign in the Cosmere RPG, so we'll be learning the game together! During sessions I'll be using my knowledge of the game system to make calls on-the-fly as situations come up but we won't take time to look up rules unless it's extremely vital to what's going on (such as if a character is about to die, I want to get it right).

Safety
How David Silberstein creates a safe table
To ensure everyone has a great time and feels comfortable being creative, we will use the following industry-standard safety tools: 1. Lines and Veils We will establish these during Session 0 via a shared document or private form. Lines (Hard Caps): These are topics that will not appear in the game at all. If someone "Lines" spiders, there are no spiders in our Roshar. Veils (Fade to Black): These are topics that can happen in the story, but we won't describe them in detail. We "pan the camera away" and move to the next scene. This is common for things like romance or extreme gore. 2. The Digital X-Card I use a digital version of the X-Card (integrated directly into Foundry VTT). How it works: If at any point the content of the game makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can "click" the X-Card. The Result: We immediately stop, edit out the uncomfortable element, and move forward. No explanation is required from the person who used it. It’s a simple "undo" button for the narrative to keep the fun going for everyone. 3. Open Door Policy Life happens, and sometimes a scene just isn't working for you. You are always welcome to take a break, step away from the mic, or leave the session if you need to—no questions asked, no judgment passed.
