About the adventure
This is a Play-By-Post, asynchronous Cyberpunk RED campaign set in 2079 Night City. We'll be using a combination of RAW content from any of the books, as well as the more recent CE:MK 2070's content and a slew of homebrew content. In this game, you're free to play any kind of character you wish. My goal is to make the city feel alive and give the players the fantasy (if one could call it that) of chasing the adrenaline high that is being an Edgerunner. This is the part where I might normally give a glimpse into the general plot of the campaign. Instead, I'll say that my goal is to craft a meaningful and personal plot once I've got an idea of each PC's backstory and goals. That being said, there is also the looming threat of Militech, who has seemingly taken over much of Night City after Arasaka pulled out.

About me
Hi! My name is Ian, but I go by Mug/Muggy online. I have experience with a wide array of TTRPG's, I write books, and I just enjoy being creative in general! I've always dreamed of making something like this my job, and as well as recently becoming a published author I've also now decided to pursue paid GM'ing. I devote most of my time to my writing, my girlfriend, and our two cats, and you can count on me giving lots of time and attention to both our campaign and your character specifically. I'm all about player choice and an emphasis on COLLABORATIVE storytelling. I love building worlds alongside my players and seeing them change over time as they react to things my players have done.

Creating your character
We'll be using the Cyberpunk RED Companion App. I believe this will make the game more accessible for new players. If there happens to be any gear that you might want access to that is not in the app, I've found somewhat simple workarounds by way of custom item-editing features. I've even managed to have a character within the app have a FBC with no issues.

What Muggy brings to the table
I tend to veer towards rule of cool quite a bit. I do love throwing in a deadly combat encounter here and there, but ultimately I try to do whatever seems to be most fun for the players.
Homebrew rules
I have homebrew netrunning rules, including recreations of quickhacks from the videogames. My homebrew rules HEAVILY simplify the net-archs from RAW, so if that is something you won't enjoy then I'd recommend not joining this game. You'll also have access to tons of homebrew gear and upgrades.

How Muggy creates a safe table
Before we do anything we'll probably spend our first few days just discussing character concepts, what everyone wants out of the campaign, etc. basically acting as the play-by-post version of a Session 0. If anyone ever feels uncomfortable my DM's will be open. I promise to never belittle anyone's feelings about the content of our game, and I'm open to making reasonable accommodations.
