About the adventure
For this adventure I'll be using Rime of the Frostmaiden as the foundation and building in player specific features! Rime of the Frostmaiden takes place in the frozen north of Icewind Dale. A place out of myth and legend that many heroes have ventured to and disappeared from the world. I believe in a strong balance between player driven story and action. You'll be out on the edge of society, dealing with the harsh, vast wasteland and the things that lurk there. Safety will be rare but the warmth of the hearth will be all the more powerful for it. If you're an old hand at D&D or new you'll get drawn in and feel at home.

About me
I am a professional full time Dungeon Master for kids through my business Young Adventurers Guild. I started with D&D and have a long time love of the many RPGs on the market. I am hoping to start working with more adults.

Creating your character
Characters will be made during session 0 at level 1. We will use point buy, and I'm open to any core material, especially Tasha's, and homebrew material by request.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will be asked to have a webcam and mic. Webcam is optional. New players should pick up a 5th edition Player's Handbook though it's not necessary. You will need to log into Roll20 and get assigned to the game in order to make a character sheet.
What Ian Cunningham brings to the table

How Ian Cunningham creates a safe table
First thing we will be sitting down for a session 0 where we discuss ideas for our characters, how they might fit into a group setting out to the edge of society. From there we can link up backgrounds, share ideas we want to see in the game world, and nail down the themes we want to see in the game. This will give us an opportunity to add characters we care about to the group headed to the frontier, and set the stakes. I anticipate each session starting with a quick recap of the previous session. For actual gameplay I expect to issue a quest or sidequests, and then let you explore and talk. I only prod towards the adventure if the players don't all have a stake in what's currently happening.
