About the adventure
This introductory mini-campaign to the Wrath & Glory system is meant to launch Space Marine 2 fans straight into the plot of Secret Level's animated episode "And They Shall Know No Fear". Take on the roles of Primaris Ultramarines tasked with the recovery of top-secret data deemed more valuable than the entire population of the planet it's located on. Face the danger head on as the world is physically dying before your characters eyes and tearing itself apart beneath your feet. While Death is a near certainty, failure has been deemed unacceptable. For Only In Death Does Duty End.

About me
My name is David and I'm a forever-GM. I was bitten by the big, bad red box at age nine and the rest, as they say, is history. I've been playing and running tabletop RPGs for 45 years and it is still my passion. I have also always enjoyed teaching new players and systems. Teaching others to play and GM has always struck me as the best way to be a good custodian to the hobby. Something I became mindful of after owning an LGS for a few years. Over the decades I have gotten a lot of practice writing and running several popular IP based RPGs. I'm particularly fond of the Star Wars, Star Trek, The One Ring & Warhammer 40k campaigns I've been fortunate enough to GM in the last two decades. On a more recent note, I have begun running Forbidden Lands campaigns. I've fallen completely for the setting and the system. Free League really outdid their selves with that particular work. The last few months I have been learning my way around Foundry VTT. I couldn't think of a better way to learn the VTT than run something on it. So, that's a glimpse into my past and a word about my present. As for the future, I sincerely look forward towards meeting more of the community here. See you at the table, David

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Discord access to join & utilize our discord server for voice chat during play. Foundry doesn't require anything else but a bit of know-how. There are plenty of short vids on the internet that'll teach the player-side basics. Once you sign up, just follow my invite to the discord server and we will get to work on some characters.
What Fire Mountain brings to the table
RAI/RAW will be decided by the play group before play. There'll be plenty of tactical battlemaps and the like. It's an intro adventure, so the battles will steadily scale upwards as we go. It's also a suicide mission so expect that upward scaling to continue for the whole adventure. It is worth noting that death isn't a certainty. It's just pretty likely unless everyone is lucky, forward thinking and on their toes.
Homebrew rules
It's an intro game, so homebrew would be more than a little out of place. The goal is to teach the system, recover some critical data and make the enemies of Mankind regret they ever set one foot in Ultramar.

How Fire Mountain creates a safe table
We will have scheduled breaks near the halfway mark. I also keep an open-door policy for all players. If you need to step away for any reason during the game, it won't be an issue at all. Just use voice or chat to inform someone you have to go AFK and that will be that. Lastly, I try to do a Stars & Wishes at the end of sessions. It's always struck me as being constructive as well as serving to focus the group forward towards the next session.
