About the adventure

Rime of the Frostmaiden is a horror infused adventure that takes you across the frigid landscape of Icewind Dale as you uncover dark and mysterious secrets buried within the snow. Whether you're new to the game of D&D or experienced in the ways of magic, there is something waiting for you in Icewind Dale. Auril's Everlasting Rime has blotted out the sun and plunged the people of Icewind Dale into a never-ending winter, where despair is more easily felt than your own fingers. This icy nightmare has invited the worst kinds of evil-doers to try and take advantage of the state of Icewind Dale. Will you be able to put an end to their evil machinations? This is an adventure taking characters from level 1 to 12 that leads you to save Icewind Dale, and put an end to the Everlasting Rime – that is, if you can survive the blistering cold.

What Lennon brings to the table

This game heavily features roleplay and tactical combat. I stick to the rules but am willing to bend them to creative ideas. I reward curiosity and maintain a level of immersion in my games through role-play and music. It is my goal to make sure the choices you make matter in the world of the game and have plausible outcomes.

Homebrew rules

For this game I'm using the optional rules of Renown and the Gritty Realism rest variant. Discussion of using Dael Kingsmill's Major Injuries rules will be held in session zero.

Safety

How Lennon creates a safe table

I have a checklist document I will send out pre-session 0 containing the content of the game that gives you the opportunity to let me know anonymously what not to include. In session 0 we will go over the checklist as a group and promise to adhere to it. During the game I encourage taking breaks and have an open-door policy as well as use X,N and O cards. After a session I do aftercare and a debrief.
