About the adventure
Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is a character focused campaign set entirely within the city of Waterdeep, a place full of secrets, factions, big personalities, and even bigger egos. This is not a dungeon crawl or a world ending apocalypse story. It is about getting caught up in the messy, complicated lives of a living city, where criminal gangs, nobles, and powerful organisations all want something, and you just happen to be in the way. The city reacts to you, remembers you, and does not hesitate to push back. This game leans heavily into role play, investigation, and social interaction, with plenty of space for humour, emotional moments, and plans that sound brilliant right up until they go wrong. Combat exists and can absolutely happen, but it is rarely the only or most interesting solution. If you enjoy talking to NPCs, making questionable decisions, forming alliances, and seeing the world respond to your actions, this campaign will suit you very well. I am an experienced DM who runs games with a strong focus on role play, character agency, and the rule of cool. I care far more about the story we are telling together than strict rules lawyering, and I actively encourage creative thinking and bold ideas. The table is relaxed, welcoming, and collaborative. This game is open to everyone, whether you are completely new to D and D or have been playing for years. Beginners will be supported and guided, and experienced players will still find plenty to dig into. Once Dragon Heist reaches its natural conclusion, the plan is to continue the story further into Waterdeep with the same characters, allowing the campaign to grow and evolve rather than simply stop. You do not need to know anything about what comes next to enjoy this game. If you are looking for a welcoming table, strong role play, and a city that feels alive, this is very much that kind of campaign

Creating your character
We will be using the 2024 rules! Any of the classes including artificer and extended races are file with the exception of flying races.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a mic, cameras are nice but not required just as I like looking at people's faces when I make reveals! Other than that there is nothing to download
What Jen brings to the table
It will be on FoundryVTT, most of the game will be theatre of the mind.
